"The Arzopa has usb-c power passhthrough too. So I can use ONE charger connected to the monitor, and then connect the console to the monitor, and the monitor will work AND charge the console at the same time. It's awesome."
"Works well with my Steamdeck either with direct USB-C cable or via mini-HDMI + USB-C for power when docked."
"Minipc powers/displays to a monitor via a usb-c. Very convenient and great for a travel setup."

"those setups also lack many of the convenience features that attracted me to this headset in the first place (numerous connectivity options and multipoint device connectivity is important for me because I WFH and this headset does double duty as my work headset and used for playing games on both PC and my Switch.)"
"Actually I love them so much I bought monitor stands and vesa brackets for them to use them when i’m home too."

"the 2k resolution is great for making sure my eyes don't get tired reading blurry text."
"IME 2k resolution is the sweet spot for portable monitors. ... 2k is crisp enough so my eyes won't get tired reading blurry text. ... Anything higher is overkill for screens below 20 inches, plus you'll likely need to plug in an extra power cable."

"Obviously soooooo much brighter (never seen a nice projector this bright in my life)"
"Make sure to get one that is bright (>400 nits or check reviews). A lot of them are unusable in daylight. I wasted money on one before. ... It has 400 nits"
"The QB1000 will give you the lumens you need for your living room. ... I have mine in my living room as well with a shit ton of ambient light, you will use it a lot, and a lot more during the day than you'd expect."

"I wouldn’t go with anything less than 90hz but really 120hz in my personal opinion. I can’t stand 60hz monitors. ... I have the 2560x1600 120hz"
"I got my portable monitor which is 1440p 144hz vrr for $160"
"Has the same resolution (1600p), aspect ratio (16:10), and refresh rate (144hz with usbc) as the legion go."

"I have one, and I like it better than the Arzopa one, which I used to have. Just be careful, they tend to break easily; they're cheap electronics. ... Maybe not that much, but one died in two weeks, after filing a complaint I have another one, so far it's been alive for 2 months, we'll see"
"Same, they are extremely fragile."
"the arzopa I had fell over while I was using it and the screen got busted."

"I have the ips variant from uperfect and I love everything except for the motion ghosting"
I have a UPerfect 2k 120hz 16" 500 nits monitor. Note that a lot come in 300 nits and that just doesn't seem bright enough for my tastes. Overall it's fine w/ the laptop, but trying to game on it w/ the SFF has it feeling really small as it's hard to see things. This one needs a separate PD charger to get to full brightness. Some modern motherboards and monitors support single usb-c display/power to like 4k/60hz. But I'd rather go w/ the separate charger option to get more frames. So you have to decide price vs size vs feature set. https://preview.redd.it/xt0xylntw3af1.jpeg?width=722&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e608c9f9584f72f2e4434a85d79333a59b5af14
r/MiniPCs • Anybody using a "portable" monitor as a full-time, primary monitor with your Mini PC? ->I bought a bunch of “ used “ portable monitors from this company on eBay . I paid $30 ish for about this spec and it’s brand new as far as I can tell. Think it’s called upperfect
r/buildapcsales • [Monitor] KYY 15.6" FHD Portable Monitor - $54.99 - Woot - ($145 off) ->There are better models you can get cheaper on aliexpress if youre willing to wait up to 2 weeks. The exact same monitors from aliexpress are on amazon with a huge markup. I got my portable monitor which is 1440p 144hz vrr for $160
r/SteamDeck • Thoughts on this portable monitor? ->Just set up this monitor today. It's fine for what it is. I think it's using a matte finish on the screen. Other than that it's a decent secondary display next to my ultrawide.
r/buildapcsales • [Monitor] Open Box UPERFECT UGame C2 - 16" 2K 120Hz IPS Portable Monitor - $73.94 w/ code: BESTGIFTS (UPERFECT via eBay) ->I used a uperfect usb c monitor for about a minute and it worked. I don't know more than that as the monitor had a fault and I'm waiting on a replacement. I'd choose on Ali express, the 16inch 120hz portable OLED or the 13 inch 1080p 60hz OLED at around £200 and £100.
r/iPadPro • Portable monitor iPadPro M4 ->i own 2 of these a d travel with them any time I travel. Actually I love them so much I bought monitor stands and vesa brackets for them to use them when i’m home too. When I travel I break them down and take everything with me. No, I don’t necessarily need the stands too, but if I’m going to be away for more than 3 days, I do because I like having my regular setup available and it’s not too much of a hassle to set up and break down. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHNLZCNF
r/remotework • Portable screen recommendations? ->I bought a similar one of these as a travel monitor for my xbox series s / work laptop if I need to to spreadsheet work. Impressed by it.
r/buildapcsales • [Monitor] Open Box UPERFECT UGame C2 - 16" 2K 120Hz IPS Portable Monitor - $73.94 w/ code: BESTGIFTS (UPERFECT via eBay) ->it cant do 120 over mini hdmi? i have the 2k IPS version of this monitor from uperfect and it does 2k just fine, is the extra 1k really that much more taxing?
r/OLED_Gaming • Uperfect O2 3k 120 hz 16" Portable Monitor impressions / mini review ->Im probably going to buy one myself. I have the ips variant from uperfect and I love everything except for the motion ghosting, so an OLED thats basically the same otherwise is huge for me. Plus im seeing t hem for 200$ which is kindof a bargain
r/OLED_Gaming • Uperfect O2 3k 120 hz 16" Portable Monitor impressions / mini review ->I ended up going with this one from uperfect. It’s pretty good and honestly overkill for the ally x. If I was buying today I would probably get the 2k one instead. Both are able to run off a single usbc with no power cable I’m pretty sure https://a.co/d/0581bfI
r/ROGAllyX • Portable monitor recommendations ->It looks good in theory but is surprisingly annoying to setup to make sure its properly clamped to your laptop and that it won't be putting unnecessary weight on the hinge. Depending on how tight the space is it might not be possible to open both sides which means one side is just awkward and unusable (unless one screen can be detached). I prefer the simple standalone portable monitor setup. Also, for portable monitors I recommend looking for one above 400 nits (brightness). Many portable monitors are quite dim - sometimes unusable in daylight. I personally wasted money on one before. FWIW my wife and I have been a digital nomad for 3-4 years and we've been using those regular standalone portable monitors from uperfect. We've been pretty happy with them and they're thin and light enough to bring around.
r/computers • Best solution for external portable monitors? ->Make sure to get one that is bright (>400 nits or check reviews). A lot of them are unusable in daylight. I wasted money on one before. My wife and I have been using uperfect's monitors for the past 3 years while digital nomading and have been happy with them. The exact model is no longer available but i'd probably get the 2k uperfect near the top of [this list](https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/) (ranked by aggregated Reddit reviews, you can see breakdown of comments) when mine breaks. It has 400 nits and I like 2k resolution for making sure my eyes don't get tired reading blurry text.
r/macbook • Which portable screen extender to buy for my Mac pro? ->I won’t go for 4k. It’s an overkill for portable monitors smaller than 19in. It may not be able to be powered by just a USBc from your MacBook too. What’s more important is to get one that is bright (>400 nits or check reviews). A lot of them are unusable in daylight. I wasted money on one before. My wife and I have been using uperfect's monitors for the past 3 years while digital nomading and have been happy with them. The exact model is no longer available but i'd probably get the 2k uperfect on this list based on aggregated reddit reviews https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/
r/macbookair • Does anyone have one of those 4k portable monitors for travel? ->I recently did an analysis on reddit data on portable monitors. If you're looking for something tried and tested i'd probably go for one of the ones at the top [https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/](https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/) A key thing to look out for is to get one that is bright (>400 nits or check reviews). A lot of them are unusable in daylight. I wasted money on one before. Fwiw my wife and I have been using uperfect's monitors for the past 3 years while digital nomading and have been happy with them. The exact models are no longer available but i'd probably get the 2k uperfect one near the top of that list if mine breaks. It has 400 nits and the 2k resolution is great for making sure my eyes don't get tired reading blurry text.
r/Monitors • What reputable portable monitor should I get? Specifically for a laptop ->I recently did an analysis on reddit data on portable monitors. r/digitalnomad • Best portable monitors for travel setups? ->You should be able to get a good one for plenty less than $1k. But make sure to get one that is bright (>400 nits or check reviews). A lot of them are unusable in daylight. I wasted money on one before. My wife and I have been using uperfect's monitors for the past 3-4 years while digital nomading and have been happy with them. The exact model is no longer available but i'd probably get the 2k uperfect ranked near the top of [this list](https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/) (ranked by reddit reviews) if mine breaks. It has 400 nits and the 2k resolution is great for making sure my eyes don't get tired reading blurry text.
r/editors • Recommends for travel/folding/attachable monitors for MBP? ->I'd recommend getting one that is brighter. The one you linked is only 250cdm2 which is pretty low. I would look for something that either has >400 nits or have reviews saying its bright. A lot of portable monitors are unusable in daylight. I wasted money on one before. Unless you're always working in a dark room? FWIW my wife and I have been a digital nomad for 3 years and we've been using monitors from uperfect. We've been pretty happy with them so far. They're thin and bright and light enough to bring around. The exact models are no longer available though. But I recently did an analysis on reddit data on portable monitors, basically ranking them by aggregated sentiment - maybe you'll find the results helpful [https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/](https://redditrecs.com/portable-monitor/) I'm eyeing the 2k uperfect near the top of the list (for when my current one breaks). It has 400 nits and IME 2k resolution is the sweet spot for portable monitors. 2k is crisp enough so my eyes won't get tired reading blurry text. Anything higher is overkill for screens below 20 inches, plus you'll likely need to plug in an extra power cable. Its more expensive though so if you want something cheaper the Z1FC Arzopa at the top is on sale now on amazon i think and is at least 300cdm2 and has reviews saying its bright enough.
