r/macmini • Is there portable monitor with keyboard available for Mac mini ? ->UPerfect brand has been fairly reliable for me. That said, a 4k monitor under 17in provides little visible benefit especially for movies, and may be troublesome for you because of how sensitive almost all monitors are to cable quality and signal dropout -- most will drop down to 30hz at 4k unless you also drop 50 bucks on a very good cable and treat it with utmost care. After going through about a dozen different portable screens, the ones I find most useful are FHD with a built-in stand (not a floppy cover, just slide it in facing your laptop for travel) and vesa mount holes. For work, I found this dual-screen one ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D45LM2S7 ) to be a true game-changer, with the effective total screen size of a 21in monitor, and it works on windows and linux without a driver or any hassle. For an ultra-compact alternative have a look at this one ( https://www.amazon.com/JoyReal-Portable-Touchscreen-Extender-Temperature/dp/B0C776ZZBH/ ) with a smaller screen but built-in speakers and stand, great for streaming movies and good sound. Lastly, the largest single screen that would still fit in a normal-ish laptop bag is this one ( https://www.amazon.com/UPERFECT-Adjustable-Ultra-Slim-Lightweight-Frameless/dp/B08L5SRCZJ/ ) also with a great built-in stand that protects ports while not in use, but the price jumps from ~150 for FHD to 350-500 for the 4k version.
r/digitalnomad • Best affordable 4K portable monitor (under $200?) ->First answer to your question: I am using a 18 inch from Amazon, nothing fancy but does to the job if required (but I also sometimes use it as monitor on shoots). No answer to your question, but maybe worth a look at: GPD just recently launched a dual screen (2x 13 inch with 2.5k resolution each OLED, 10bit screens), 2 nvme slots, up to 64GB RAM, occulink for external GPU (although the 890m APU is fine for normal editing): https://gpd.hk/gpdduo
r/editors • Best portable laptop external monitor ->I use a 1080p one. I guess a bit higher screen resolution would be nice, but then again that is certainly my secondary screen (in Resolve) so it's not like I win a lot of space for the timeline here. For me that was enough.
r/editors • Best portable laptop external monitor ->Just looked it up (there is literally no brand name on the screen, so I had to go back to my orders...): Its a UPERFECT portable Monitor 18.5 Inch 120Hz.
r/editors • Best portable laptop external monitor ->I have the uperfect 18.5" to literally play valorant other than that I play on the ally screen
r/ROGAlly • The best portable monitor for the Ally X? ->I'm using the uperfect one 18.5" to play val on the ally x
r/ROGAllyX • Portable Monitor ->I recommend the UPEFECT. I use mine for my ROG Ally and Samsung Dex setups.
r/ROGAlly • Have you bought a Portable OLED monitor? 4k, 3k, 1080p? ->I used a uperfect usb c monitor for about a minute and it worked. I don't know more than that as the monitor had a fault and I'm waiting on a replacement. I'd choose on Ali express, the 16inch 120hz portable OLED or the 13 inch 1080p 60hz OLED at around £200 and £100.
