I got this [UPERFECT](https://www.newegg.com/p/3D4-007D-000A2?Item=9SIBJBBKFW2818&_gl=1*1r2s9wa*_gcl_au*MTE0MzAyNDQzMS4xNzU0MDkyNTQ2*_ga*ODc4MjI0NjY4LjE3NTQwOTI1NDc.*_ga_TR46GG8HLR*czE3NjA5MjQwODQkbzckZzEkdDE3NjA5MjQwODkkajU1JGwwJGgxODk2MzQ2Njg3) from Newegg to use as a second monitor. It's a 2025 listing as opposed to a very very similar listing from 2023 or whatever. Should also be on Amazon. Only had it for a couple days but I'm very happy with it. No whine from the USB C like my old KYY 1080p and has pretty good image out of the box. I don't have a tool to do proper color calibration, but it's quite close to my main monitor, an old 2010s HP. Not sure what the resposne time is either. My main complaint is the viewing angle isn't terribly good, though I'm not too picky about that.
The UPerfect monitor is more or less the same, iirc their 16 inch 1440p 144hz one is 6-8ms or something. With also those chinese brands probably using the same OEM, it's unlikely you'll find a proper 1440p gaming monitor in a small size. There are 1080p options with alright response time ie ASUS ROG Strix 17 inch being like 3ms. But niche and pricey. I have the Uperfect 16 inch mentioned above. Colors are good, and while it's not the ideal monitor for motion it's not a disaster either.
Love that monitor. It was so good it became my extra monitor for my computer. Now I use a Uperfect C2 Pro for my Ally and Steam Deck. These portable monitors are a game changer imo.
Just set up this monitor today. It's fine for what it is. I think it's using a matte finish on the screen. Other than that it's a decent secondary display next to my ultrawide.
I bought a similar one of these as a travel monitor for my xbox series s / work laptop if I need to to spreadsheet work. Impressed by it.
I don't have a PS5, but I use a 16" 1600p portable as one of my secondary displays. Something to keep in mind with the portable monitors is they're almost universally B-tier laptop panels shipped at max brightness settings with only volatile memory. They set them to run at max brightness by default and every time they're powered down they reset to default settings. I didn't realize that with my first one and burned it in within six months, this time I've got it set to stay powered and at half brightness. As long as you're mindful of the burn in risks it's not bad at all though, I bought the same exact uperfect display this time because despite the failure I genuinely like the panel, it has great pixel density and looks great.
I know a lot of people just say to get 1080p monitors, but I recommend a 2560x1600 or 2560x1440 monitor so you can just run games at the Deck's 1280x800 or 1280x720 resolutions and have it scale nicely. For brands, Azorpa and Uperfect seem to get recommended a bit if you're looking on Amazon. I have a 16" Uperfect 2560x1600 and it works great for me. I don't know exactly what you mean by small-ish.
I have one for traveling, 2.5k 16 inch ips with a hole in left bottom corner. Works very well for 2 years already, probably was on for 24/7 in 6 month totally. Sound is crap (expected), max brightness could be better but is ok, powered via same type-c that connects it to computer (but also has another one for additional power if need). Actually I am surprised it working so good for that price, so could recommend. edit: I have UPerfect one
I don't think so, I just got a portable monitor from UPERFECT 2K, 144Hz with the case that has a stand feature. The name sounds weird, but the display is fine and works very well. Wasn't very expensive, either. I use it for traveling with my laptop, it just slides in the backpack with laptop in the same compartment. Weight I don't remember exactly, but around 1kg, battery impact I don't know, I always use plugged.
