well.... My main go to is usually a lapdock. I really like the new Nexdock XL, and the UPERFECT 15.6 touch pro. theyre very similar, except the uperfect got the 120hz panel, nexdock is 60hz. better battery on the XL, as usual my current new favourite tho, might be the [uperfect Delta](https://www.uperfectmonitor.com/products/folding-monitor?variant=39991658577992&sca_ref=5101392.S1lwRXEetd) this one is super interesting now that we've found a way to do use both screens! I have bought a few uperfect monitors and all have worked for my devices: desktops, laptops, android phones, ipad pro, mini PCs, game consoles. 15.6" 1440p @ 120hz 15.6" 1080p @ 120 hz 15.6" 1080p @ 60 hz w/built in battery 13.3" 1080p @ 60 hz wireless lapdock All of these support dp over type c along with hdmi, if it's mini hdmi, the monitor comes with its own hdmi cables I've bought a magedok 1440p.monitor from amazon before but Im not happy with the build quality.

I currently have a cheap 15.6 UPERFECT portable monitor which works fine, but I'm wondering if there are any cheap portable monitors around that same size that don't need to be plugged into a battery bank? I've seen portable monitors with built in batteries which is cool, but are above my preferred price range ($100). Maybe something slightly smaller? I really just use Dex on my couch on a lap desk for basic productivity (email, WhatsApp, Google Docs and Sheets, etc.) so pretty 4k HDR specs aren't necessary. Trying to optimize set up and have the least number of cords possible. For reference, I'm running my Dex setup off of a Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Thanks in advance! UPDATE: Thanks so much everyone for the input! I ended up purchasing the same cheap portable monitor as u/Franky_Mars & u/TheWalkingZen (KYY Portable Monitor) and it arrived this morning (Amazon ftw), and it's exactly what I needed. The 50% brightness is fine for working while on the couch in short spurts and was in my price range. Maybe I can convince my wife to let me get them fancy XREALs or a Sotsu monitor one day when our kids aren't burning holes in our wallets!

I used a uperfect usb c monitor for about a minute and it worked. I don't know more than that as the monitor had a fault and I'm waiting on a replacement. I'd choose on Ali express, the 16inch 120hz portable OLED or the 13 inch 1080p 60hz OLED at around £200 and £100.

I recommend the UPEFECT. I use mine for my ROG Ally and Samsung Dex setups.
