I have a cheap ASUS USB-C display from Amazon. It works fine. It has a tripod socket so you can use a cheapo mini-tripod, or just any cheap tablet stand from Amazon

I have an Asus portable monitor - MB166C - USB-C powered, comes with its own sleeve that becomes a stand as well. Very light, so it will be easy to carry when flying; 15.6” so enough to get the work done and has served me well for the past year without any issues.

I use Asus Zenscreen 16” portable monitor (MB166C). It was around $180 when I bought it and it’s now at $130. It’s slim, light weight, only needs one USB-C cable for power (from laptop) and display (major advantage IMHO) and comes with a sleeve cover that transforms into a stand. Been using it for 2+ years and I really recommend it.

I have this as well! It’s held up for 3 years and lots of other CRAs from my company and some I’ve seen in the wild have gotten it now too after they saw mine. It’s great because you don’t have to charge it.

Yes for gaming, no for multitasking. You did not specify what would be driving your games. I have XReal with Asus Ally handheld and it is a match made in heaven as I can stay very portable and at the same time enjoy big screen gaming with very little compromise. But if you plan to substitute your PC or laptop display with Air, you need to think again. Especially working with text heavy environments (like code development), the Air simply does not cut it. You lack crispness of the fonts, the screen is too big to be able to focus on the whole screen and not on small segment, your eyes tire quickly because of this.

I am looking to power the monitor via the wall outlet and have video come from my laptop. This way it won’t damage my laptop battery

Hi have the Asus MB166C portable monitor, and it is powered via a single USB-C cable that is connected to my laptop. The monitor itself has single USB-C port. I was wondering if I could use this dongle to both power the monitor via a wall plug and then connect it via USB-C to my laptop for a video feed. Please let me know if this will work?
