I have an m1 MacBook and I sometimes use an iPad as a second screen while traveling. BUT I’ve done a few short sessions with the [Xreal/Nreal glasses](https://a.co/d/0ifwv6T), and it’s gone well so far. They’re AR glasses that are around $350 and about the size of sunglasses. You put them on, plug them into the usb c port and suddenly you have 3 virtual monitors in front of you. The software is a little buggy and I wouldn’t trust a color grade on it, but overall it’s worked well for me so far. Im traveling next week for about 10 days and that will be the real test, but I’m hopeful based on the shorter tests.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I didn’t have any eye strain or headaches, but I had some bugs that made the experience less than ideal. Overall it was a complete game changer for working on flights. I looked like an idiot, but three screens in that cramped little area was amazing. But over the 10 days traveling it was buggy enough that I would only use them if I REALLY needed 3 screens. The stems were also a little uncomfortable if I wore them for extended periods on my giant head. I’m going to put some felt on them or something, and hope the next updates to the software make it a little more stable. If you find other solutions that work better, I’d love to hear them!
