Reviews from Reddit:
I got one of these: UPERFECT 16 Inch 2K Portable Monitor 2560x1600 QHD 500Nits 120Hz HDR https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLjLuEq Resolution and size wise it matches my M1. Works over USB C. Colours aren't perfect, but they're acceptable - and in any case I'd use my MacBook screen if I had to do any colour work on the go. Only downside is the brightness level resets every time you plug it in, so you have to use the OSD to increase it every time. I just spent the last week working remotely with it and my M1 - no issues.
Full discussion on Reddit ->There are lots of good ones on Amazon nowadays. But be careful - some are really dim which sucks unless you work exclusively at night or in dungeons. Look for those that list > 400 nits or cdm2. FWIW my wife and I have been using uperfect's monitors for 3 years now and they've been pretty good. Image quality is similar to my macbook pro IMO. I had to replace 1 of them at the 1.5 year mark but the other is going strong. The exact models I use aren't around anymore but [this 2k, 400 nits one](https://redditrecs.com/portablemonitors/monitor/7/) from uperfect has been mentioned several times on the subs. Might be worth a shot. Otherwise you can check out [these other ones](https://redditrecs.com/portablemonitors/) that have been mentioned many times too
Full discussion on Reddit ->I recently [collated comments across Reddit](https://redditrecs.com/) to find the ones that most people are recommending. Might be helpful. Fwiw my wife and I have been using UPERFECT’s monitors. They’ve been good. My protip is to get one that is 400-500 nits. I'd avoid those that don’t list the brightness anywhere. I’ve wasted money on one that is too dim to be usable
Full discussion on Reddit ->Got a supposedly 100% srgb 400 nits portable monitor from uperfect as well and it's...fine. But definitely worse than my 400 nit laptop screen (which also claimed 100% srgb but is 89%).
