I've had this one for a few years and never had an issue with it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07YX5NKK2?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Full discussion on Reddit ->I use a lenovo m14 and love it. If you are OK with the cost, it's a fantastic option. Super light and great picture quality.
Full discussion on Reddit ->4k is not needed, at all. I do use a 4k monitor at home, but it's a 32" and is running at native resolution. On the road, I run a 14" laptop and a 14" lenovo ThinkVision M14, both at 1920x1080. The m14 is very high quality, doesn't decimate my battery life and the picture is great. I won't buy cheap, no name screens, regardless of price. Bad picture quality and brightness, plus a poor lifespan are not worth saving a few bucks
Full discussion on Reddit ->It's smaller and more expensive, so this is probably a bad recommendation for you, but I love my Lenovo Think Vision M14. Super thin, super light and very durable
Full discussion on Reddit ->I use a Lenovo Thinkvision M14. It's rated 300 nits with the excellent Lenovo wide angle anti-glare mat finish. It works really well in a bright room, but 400 would be needed to work outside. I stack mine over a pile of books and a towel to absorb typing vibrations since I clip my microphone to it.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have this same monitor (non-touch) and it's been good for me also. I wound up traveling less than I thought I would, so I haven't used it often, but it's lasted over two years.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I bought a Lenovo Thinkvision M14 during Black Friday but not specifically for the Steam Deck. I had a 20% off coupon on eBay and there was an other rebate. Overall, I got 100$ CAD off on this monitor. I was tempted by the new Thinkvision M15 or the AOC I1601FWUX which are both 15.6in, but decided that 14in was good enough. The USB-C port supports DP1.2 Alt mode and PD2.0 which according to the specs will be compatible with the Steam Deck. One concern will be the battery life of the Steam Deck if the monitor is not connected to a power source. Anyway, my main purpose for the SD was portability and not really hooking it up on a portable monitor. Plus, you will have to take into consideration the possible drop in performance of the SD for outputting 1080p graphics instead of the optimized 720p/800p.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I bought it for work on the go. I have a few kids that play soccer and I can work while they are at their practices. I have three screens at home, 2 + laptop at work, so sometimes, I feel limited with just one screen when I work on my laptop. With the rebates on eBay, the M14 was a little under the regular price of the M15. I thought the M15 would be a tad too big to carry around, so I went for the M14. According to Lenovo Canada, the M14 retails for 349CAD (or 384CAD, depends how you see it) while the newer M15 retails for 279 CAD, although I found it at 259 CAD. I think I got the M14 for about 240 CAD before taxes.
Full discussion on Reddit ->There are various USB-C powered portable monitors that basically look like an ipad with a stand. Lenovo makes a 14'' one (I have that one and it's good) and other companies make ones that are slightly larger or smaller.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I use mine with a lenovo m14 portable monitor. Works great. The usb out for monitor uses a bit more power since it uses the nvidia chip and the laptop powers the monitor. This adds about 8w of power usage. The m14 has usb power passthrough which is handy so you can charge the computer with the usb c while using the monitor if your using it on the go. Perfect setup for a mobile office setup.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have a lenovo m14, pretty handy on the go, only needs one cable
Full discussion on Reddit ->I got the lenovo m14 and really enjoy using it. Works fine on my macbook and dell work laptop.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I've had good luck with the Lenovo Thinkvision m14 which is FullHD @ 14 Inch - there are now additional models with touch and higher resolution, neither of which I needed.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have a ThinkVision M14 14” portable monitor. Costed about $200. Excellent colors & quality, thin af but sturdy enough so far, works w/USB-C, no special drivers needed. Also have a $100 AOC E1659FWU that works over USB-A, requires special drivers from OEM, has washed out colors and lower resolution, but sturdy thicker build quality. This was my primary, but the ThinkVision is smaller, higher quality and higher res., so the AOC one became my backup. The first AOC I had broke after a minor drop 4” on the table, so this is my second. AOC = def lower quality overall, but cheaper.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I've used a Lenovo thinkvision 1452-DM6 for several years. It's great if you don't mind 1366x768 tn pannel
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have a Lenovo M14 that I used with my T480. I don’t actually carry it around, but I wanted something with the same size and resolution as the main screen so they can be side by side. I got it a while ago when we were deploying new servers and one screen wasn’t enough. I now have a T14 Gen 5 and they’re no longer the same size. I also have a big monitor now so it’s gathering dust.
