There was a phase in my life where I had a portable monitor fetish so I bought everything under the sun. OLED, 4K, 13", 15", usb-c only, usb-c with HDMI input so I can use a Raspberry PI. Everyone one of them had compromises. EG. 4K required two USB-C to get decent brightness, otherwise only 20% brightness. OLED one I had did not have a kickstand so it was flimsy. I still have about 12 different portable monitors in my office. My recommendation is the Lenovo M14/L15. They have folding kickstand. Resolution is average 1080p but it won't drain your battery as quick as others. They don't have HDMI inputs so USB-C only affair but the best w/ the "least compromises" Decent brightness. Pass thru Power Delivery. Portable monitors should be portable. But even with those, I just mostly use my iPad w/ whatever is built into the new Mac OS/iOS. Works well in a pinch and even via USB-C cable. Don't have to worry about monitor draining laptop batter because iPad has a power source. High DPI resolution and plays 4K youtube video. If I didn't have an iPad, the Lenovo M14 is what I recommend.
Full discussion on Reddit ->Yeah I got the thinkpad 14 touch monitor. It is pretty nice. T he e only thing with it is that it doesn’t seem to hold up to vibrations to well. I use it as a extra screen for vjing at clubs and sometimes the bass will shake the cable loose. So I am trying to find another use for it
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have tried several. I mostly do bass shows. I got the monitor used and both usbc ports are kind of loose I think. I bearly use it since it is 1080p now a days. Mostly as a monitor for resolume
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have a Lenovo L15 that I often use with my [T480](https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/1ccvwr3/a_portable_setup_for_thinking/), [ThinkBook](https://sharktastica.co.uk/resources/images/gallery/TBPG3_L15.jpg) and sometimes my phone (Moto g200 with Ready For virtual desktop environment). I think it's extremely equally handy to have around on the go or at home. On the go is pretty self-explanatory, but as I often move stuff around, on to or off my desk, a monitor that's easily movable to either side of the host laptop or can be put on top of things (etc.) without needing to deal with multiple cables or any stands is a godsent.
