Reviews from Reddit:
I've got a very similar monitor to this one: [Amazon link](https://www.amazon.com/ARZOPA-Portable-Kickstand-External-Switch-Z1FC/dp/B0CH9WTW56/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=OTPYPAQ9S5VH&keywords=arzopa%2B144hz&qid=1706014805&sprefix=arzopa%2B144hz%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-3&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.d977788f-1483-4f76-90a3-786e4cdc8f10&th=1&psc=1) It works really well with just the one USB cable going from deck to monitor for power and video.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have an Arzopa portable monitor. For those unfamiliar, it has 1x mini HDMI and 2x usb c. I use the USB c port to connect to my galaxy s22 to utilize dex mode. Problem is, it is very inconsistent. Rarely, it will work flawlessly but majority of the time, the screen will flicker constantly, rendering it useless. I'm now wondering if it provides a more stable connection to use the mini HDMI port. I would have to buy a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter and also an HDMI to usb c cable (there are no mini HDMI to usb c cables, surprisingly). Before I buy, am I one the right track?
Full discussion on Reddit ->I just bought an asus 144hz 15inch portable monitor. I got it at $200 -- I justified this because I have a mini pc already, and I can use it with samsung dex if I'm not close to an outlet. it won't be as coinvent as a laptop for sure, but it will be a bit more comfortable and cheaper.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I bought a 16.1" Arzopa monitor (144hz 1080p) to use as a second screen under my main monitor and I can absolutely give it the full recommendation for that purpose. It was on sale ($150 CAD, which is roughly $110 USD), and for that price I have zero complaints with it. Picture quality is great (not 4K, but for a small second monitor, 4K is honestly overkill), and the 144hz refresh rate is buttery smooth. Its perfect for browsing and apps. I've actually used it as a portable screen for a Nintendo Switch on a trip to a cabin, and it worked great for that too.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I just grabbed the Arzopa A1 Gamut Mini 2K this week and am very happy with it so far. It does have mini HDMI but it also has 2 USB-C ports and allows full passthrough charging so you can plug a power bank into the monitor with one USB-C, then connect the Steam Deck to the monitor with the other, and get full charging and power to the monitor without needing any kind of hub or dongle. It's also 16:10 and 2560x1600 so a perfect 2x resolution of the Deck with the same aspect ratio. It was also only $106 on sale when I grabbed it. Very happy with it at that price. Edit: I'm an idiot. Missed that you specifically requested 1080p. If I were looking at 1080p, I'd go for the OLED from Innocn listed above. Only downside is the passthrough charging isn't as robust as the one I went with, but if you provide separate power that's no problem.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I got the 16inch ROG 144hz version with the little stand last week. Pretty happy with it, except for the price which was a lot more than a good 24 inch 1080p. I’ve had all sizes of monitors, from 14 inch CRTs as a kid, to 17 inch, 20 inch, 24, 27 inch, 32, 42. But I think my perfect try-hard-fps gaming monitor would be in the region of 19-24 inches, it’s all much the same, you just end up sitting slightly closer or further away. But 24 inches seems to get no love/attention these days from manufacturers. In the near future iI think it’s more likely we will get a portable laptop screen with FALD and 4k and hdmi 2.1 than anything in the 24 inch space being great. (Also the DPI of 24 inch 1080p is shit, so is 1440p 27, Apple have the right idea with 5k at 27 and 6k at 32!)
Full discussion on Reddit ->You can get the arzopa one pretty cheap on tiktok tbh 16.1 144hz 1080. It's commonly 109 on there sometimes even cheaper. If you're a first time buyer you can get additional discounts and such too. I got super lucky and got mine for 40 shipped and I love it. Only had it for a few months and no issues but not sure how the longevity will be
Full discussion on Reddit ->Idk if it the same but i have and Arzopa 16 inches, 1080, 144hz freesync too and i love it. It fit in my backpack with my bluetooth mouse and kb, its my travel setup.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I got the first one a few months backs. I think the HDR and audio aren’t really great. The HDR is just good enough. The monitor also didn’t come with a bag or cover. I’m using the monitor for light workload (usually when coding or writing something) with an old Windows laptop and gaming too. I don’t have much to compare it with. Anyway, it works for me since I’m too immersed in TOTK to notice any other faults, if there are any.
Full discussion on Reddit ->Look up "ARZOPA" on Amazon, I've had one their portable monitors for a while and can't complain. edit: I think what I have is an older version of this [https://www.amazon.com/ARZOPA-Portable-Kickstand-External-Switch-Z1FC/dp/B0CH9WTW56/?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/ARZOPA-Portable-Kickstand-External-Switch-Z1FC/dp/B0CH9WTW56/?th=1)
Full discussion on Reddit ->I use this ARZOPA Portable Monitor, 16.1'' 144Hz FHD 1080P Portable Gaming Monitor with HDR, Ultra Slim, Eye Care, External Second Screen for Laptop, PC, PS5, Mac, Raspberry Pi, Xbox, Switch - G1 Game https://a.co/d/4Auy4vH
Full discussion on Reddit ->This!!! You won't find a better deal. Works great 144hz with freesync. Also have pass-thru. Arzopa is the one to go with!
Full discussion on Reddit ->Unfortunately, no only 25w. I bought another model from Uperfect and pass thru was 30w but didn't have freesync. So i returned it and kept the Arzopa.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I bought Arzopa for like 95 eur shipping included and it claims that is at 144 hz, and it really works like a charm for the bucks...
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have bought an AOC 16G3 a couple months ago, pretty happy with it so far. 1080p, 144hz and freesync. It's 185 Euros currently on Amazon.de, not sure about other regions but seemed to be one of the cheapest ones, especially from a trusty brand.
Full discussion on Reddit ->Honestly it looks quite light yet sturdy. Can send you a few pics if you want. A lot of info on arzopa on reddit if you want :) Btw it is most of the time on sale on Amazon so do never buy it full price ^^
Full discussion on Reddit ->I recommend you check out [Arzopa z1fc](https://arvita.link/arzopa-z1fc). I have one and it's a really good budget monitor. It's a 1080p 144hz display with nice picture quality.
Full discussion on Reddit ->Yeah, the online specs listed on those portable monitors can be tricky to decipher... often they are cut and paste from other similar listings. Anyways, I have since gotten another brand/model... Arzopa Z1FC 16" 1080p 144Hz, and that has actual 100% sRGB. The colors were vibrant and looked even better than my laptop display, so it worked out eventually.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I didn't need to calibrate my Arzopa's display colors 'cos with the default settings it happened look almost exactly the same as my laptop display... so when placed side-by-side they look relatively matching now. I guess both of the panels are probably quite similar in spec. Yeah, if your current monitor and the Arzopa display has different color temps/hues, then you'll have to do some adjustments in the settings to try to match them as close as you can.
