Reviews from Reddit:
I have used the Asus Zenscreen MB1AC Portable monitor 16" for +3 years. It's high quality, great resolution, durable and very portable! I really love it. I'm always throwing it in my bag and travelling and it's still doing great! Pic of setup! https://preview.redd.it/leqjlz5rgzsc1.png?width=1204&format=png&auto=webp&s=3ed7e15c93670c355f471708ed91198bca39a22e
Full discussion on Reddit ->I bought an Asus Zenscreen [similar to this one](https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenScreen-MB16AC-Portable-Monitor/dp/B071S84ZW7/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3W2R6ASRV9KX7&keywords=portable%2Bmonitor%2Basus%2Bzenscreen&qid=1691670311&sprefix=portable%2Bmonitor%2Basus%2Bzenscreen%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-5&th=1), then I got a [tripod stand](https://flexstands.my.canva.site/) that I can pack up and take with me where ever I am. It's so great, light weight and portable yet I can get it to be at whatever height I need it!
Full discussion on Reddit ->I recommend considering the ASUS ZenScreen (MB166C). While there are numerous models available, some of them quite expensive, this one provides a more budget-friendly option that still meets most of my requirements: - It offers a Full HD resolution on a 15.6" screen. - It features an IPS panel for high-quality visuals. - It supports USB Type-C connectivity for both display and power. - It comes with a convenient kickstand for easy setup. - It is tripod mountable (ASUS provides its own tripod for this purpose). The only drawback is that it does not support VESA mounting, so you'll need to utilize an ASUS tripod for mounting. Personally, I have two of these monitors alongside my primary display. They are cost-effective and offer superior quality compared to generic Chinese portable monitors. Additionally, the included 3-year warranty underscores their reliability.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have a couple. This is the one I use most of the time as my 2nd laptop screen: [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1310064-REG/asus\_mb16ac\_15\_6\_full\_hd\_1920x1080.html](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1310064-REG/asus_mb16ac_15_6_full_hd_1920x1080.html) I got this one since it added HDMI and battery power, I figured I could use it for quick run and gun video jobs: [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1495791-REG/asus\_zenscreen\_go\_mb16ahp\_15\_6.html](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1495791-REG/asus_zenscreen_go_mb16ahp_15_6.html) I can sort of use it for the intended purpose. It will connect to my camera via HDMI, but it won't recognize a feed from my wireless HDMI transmitter or the ATEM Mini. I've used it with my laptop and run 3 screens at once, that's pretty sweet. However, there's a bug where it's stuck at the USB-C or HMDI port. If it's set for HDMI, you need to connect an HDMI device and then choose USB-C. It doesn't auto switch like it should. And you can't connect a USB-C device and switch it from HDMI, total pain in the ass. Asus has new models and there are a ton of knock-offs on Amazon (4k, touch, etc), but none that I saw had the mirror option. While looking for my model #, I just saw that Lilliput has a similar model now. I'd buy it in a second if it has the mirror flip: [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1541555-REG/lilliput\_umtp\_1400\_umtc\_1400\_14\_usb\_type\_c.html](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1541555-REG/lilliput_umtp_1400_umtc_1400_14_usb_type_c.html) Not too bright, but fine for indoors. Edit: The seller responded on Amazon, that it does not mirror flip.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I use the Asus zenscreen mb16ac. It's an older model with the magnetic cover to protect them well and act as the stand. It works the best. From what I have seen the newer models are flimsy
Full discussion on Reddit ->Hey! Know I'm late to the game, but I've been looking for a portable monitor for the Surface Pro 6. Just went out and purchased the [Asus Zenscreen 15.6" MB16AC](https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenScreen-MB16AC-15-6-Inch-Monitor/dp/B071S84ZW7/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=asus+mb16ac&qid=1555794828&s=gateway&sr=8-1) and this monitor, though USB type C, works with the Surface Pro 6 via the included dongle, and installing the drivers from the [Asus Website](https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/MB16AC/HelpDesk_Download/). The screen works perfectly fine, perfect for multitasking on the go!
Full discussion on Reddit ->My model was powered through the Surface Pro 6 directly. However, I did notice that while using a USB Hub and plugging in an external HDD, I wasnt able to use it because there simply wasn't enough power from the surface.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I have a 2080 Ti and an Asus MB16AC. It works fine for gaming. It's connected to my motherboard's, but the gpu does its job over USB somehow. It does not work when plugged into the type c port on the 2080 TI. It also doesn't work until I've logged in and the Asus DisplayWidget program starts running, therefore you're not able to see what you're doing if you want to edit your BIOS settings. I would recommend it for it's portability and one usb-c cable for power and signal, but you need to be able to install the Asus DisplayWidget program first with a standard monitor first. [PIC](https://imgur.com/a/3riIeAk)
