I’ve had a 15.6” FHD Uperfect for a three years. Came with USB-C (can do single cable connection), full-size HDMI port and cable (bonus, most have mini-HDMI), USB power adapter and a folio case that doubles as a stand similar to iPad cases. Paid around 140€ at the time. I would say my experience has been generally very good. The single cable USB-C connection is very handy, and the HDMI + USB power option is greatly appreciated. Full HD at 15.6” isn’t the best possible experience, but it provides a very nice companion to my 13.3” laptop screen. The IPS panel isn’t the brightest or best, but considering the price, it’s quite nice to get IPS at all with the basic benefits of better viewing angles and color reproduction. My only complaints are that the folio case, much like similar tablet cases, doesn’t provide a very vertical angle and the USB-C cable has gone a little hinky. That said, the monitor has a very thoughtful feature: a hole in the corner so that you can stick a pen (or stick) through and use that as a stand. I never bothered, but you could do a little custom work to make a stick that would fit in the hole and provide a better stand angle. I never traveled much with this monitor (my concern was being able to pack it away in limited space at home) so I ended up mounting it on a stand via the VESA mount holes. Made for a very nice super-compact desktop display. I’m retiring the monitor from primary active service this week because my new job is going to be more about being stationary, but as I type the Uperfect is still hard at work as a movie screen for my kids. It’s really hot here, so it’s helpful to be able to quickly setup movies in the cooler parts of the house. I would definitely recommend my monitor, or similar larger models, for your traveling use case. While you pay extra for it, a portable monitor packs a ton of utility in a surprisingly light and compact package.
Full discussion on Reddit ->I got this UPERFECT model: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B094V583BM 1080P 15.6", touch screen, and has full sized HDMI and USB-A port for connecting additional devices. However, it has some issues, so I wouldnt recommend it. It works when I connect it to my Chromebook or my Surface Pro (although both devices complain that they are connected to a low powered charger, even when connected to a high-powered one), but so far I have not been able to get it to work with the Steam Deck unless I use a USB-C to HDMI adapter
