Hi all, I purchased a second external portable monitor so I can pick up and do WFH from outside the home. I purchased a Viewsonic VG1655 which has HDMI and USB C inputs. I'm unable to get my SP4 to detect the display using the usb A to C cable. I don't have a mini dp to hdmi dongle. I'm wondering if there is a reason it can't transfer video via USB. I have an older monitor that does work and it uses straight up usb a cable. Has anyone has this use case and got it to work?

I'm using my ViewSonic monitor for last 17 years. My father bought it when I was child. Now it showing a line on centre. Still works just fine. (75 hertz)
