I use one of these paired with my series s when I'm outdoors or travelling. You can power the monitor through the usb c port, just be mindful that you'll need a mini hdmi to hdmi converter as well. I’ve had both BMD video assist and a Digital Forecast Troubleshooter. The Digital Forecast box has a test generator, but is more fragile. Personally I wouldn’t buy another of those, but I would buy another BMD video assist.

I bought one on Amazon, $65. Brand is KYY? USB c to USB’c. No batt but easy and gets the job done. Said I needed it for travel (for the expense) but really was an excuse to work from the beach house without my home set up
