I had super high hopes about the protein powder because I fell into the instagram trap reading literally all positive reviews (couldnt find any bad ones!). I ordered the chocolate but got a strawberry sample because everyone kept commenting its the best and they were dying for it to restock. Well, I hated it. For context, im 41(f), working out 4x a week trying to up my protein intake. I HATE whey powders. I just cant stand that aftertaste. Ive tried so so many and wasted my money and im sad to say this was no different for me. It was so chalky, was hard to mix and had a horrible protein whey aftertaste. and what is that nasty sludgy foam it makes. I took two sips and was gagging. Im terrified to try the chocolate. I saw someone say to use it for brownies if its bad to drink. I have a full bag and i really dont want to waste 70.00. \*sigh\* i had high hopes for this one. However I did find one that works for me. I tried the 1up Nutrition lemon ice and i like it. Its overly sweet but it doesnt give me that aftertaste so I will just stomach this from now on I guess.

1UP is the brand. They are the best tasting I’ve ever had and are a whey isolate clear protein. The flavors I like are lemon Italian ice and strawberry Italian icw. Amazingly good tasting and super clean, lean, and tested for no extra bs and such.

I love the fruity clear protein powder from 1Up. They’re a little pricey, but last a long time. My favorites are the lemon Italian ice and the strawberry. ETA: It’s not a protein drink, but I also love the Ratio protein yogurt. The vanilla tastes like cake batter. So good!

I think one of the newer flavors is sour cherry, which I really want to try but I have tubs of protein powders at home that need to be gone before anymore are bought 😅

I mix psyllium husk and miralax but not protein powder. If you don't need a vegan protein, optimum Nutrition whey isn't bad and is reasonably priced. I find mixing with half milk half water makes the shake like protein powders more palatable. Some people here have already mentioned clear protein powder and this might be to your liking. I really like 1Up Nutrition lemon Italian ice and Peach Mango, they are pricey though. I have also seen Oath get good reviews but have not tried it. If you are not in the US I'm not sure what your options are though. The clear protein would work well in a smoothie I think. I mix the lemon with yogurt and raspberries and it's really good.

I loathed the isopure ones. I got influenced by the 1up ads on my Instagram and love their clear lemon ice one. The sour cherry was a little too sour, but I am going to use up the rest of my container and then try a new flavor, but I always keep the lemon on hand. I mix it into plain non fat Greek yogurt.

I have never been a ready to drink protein person. I dislike all of them. Plus I feel like they have so many more stabilizers and junk in them bc they're shelf stable. Protein powders are much more palatable to me. I've been really liking the 1up lemon Italian ice clear protein in my fat free Greek yogurt. I was influenced and it actually is really really good. 🤣 For creamy ones, I like the bsn syntha6 brand. I've heard "flavcity" is also good. If you struggle with the ready to drink ones, give powders a try. Edit to add- regular or chocolate fairlife milk itself is not a bad idea if you can't get down protein drinks. Nutritionally you can get a lot from those.
