For no mouth after taste, I recommend two that I’ve tried so far the whey based one is “body fortress, super advanced whey protein” vanilla only flavor (The other flavors are different) and then the second one is muscle milk, genuine protein powder 26 g chocolate. It’s thicker but there’s no lingering aftertaste.
However, I’m going to say I really prefer the taste of the orgain protein powders but they do have a little bit of a texture & aftertaste that lingers.
I agree with the others about not worrying, but I will say if you want to look into powders AFTER your trip (or before) I use Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder Vanilla in my smoothies. I have made it with lots of different fruit, seeds, and peanut butter and the vanilla was mild and seemed to compliment the rest of the smoothie. I haven't tried it without mixing it with other things, but if you ever want to make smoothies, I highly recommend. Protein shakes I loved at the beginning of my journey are now too sweet for me (after about 2 months of being on Zepbound), but the shakes with this powder have continued to taste good to me.
i’m a vegetarian too, and body fortress has been the best protein powder for me so far. Aside from the fact that it’s processed on the same machines as some non vegetarian stuff, that doesn’t mean it’s in the powder too. There is some artificial flavoring but it’s pretty good.
There is no such thing as “womens” protein powder, despite marketing attempts to convince women otherwise. The cheapest, protein dense, low calorie powder that still tastes okay that Ihave found is Body Fortress or Six Star at Walmart. It has an appropriate dose of BCAA mixed in to help utilize the powder.
