Cosmix mango flavour worked for me. Apart from that Mille Coffee hazelnut is amazing. Yoga bar chocolate flavour also seems to be good and similar in ingredients to cosmix. But lesser priced. You might want to look into it if you are on a tight budget.

Let me link what I take: https://cosmix.in/products/real-indonesian-cacao. I've tried their yeast once as a sample and had no issues. But if you suffer from repeated UTIs and internal infections like candida, I would avoid it.

Go for the pro version in Cosmix. I don’t have issues with the plant one but others have had problems. Pro is yeast based

Cosmix s great. And you don’t have any proper source of protein. Add low fat paneer with the chilla. Grill it lightly on the tava and put masala on it. Greek yogurt to every meal And those bars? Check the sugar content

Cosmix is great! I also have issues with whey and their plant protein has not affected me in the list. Solved my gas issues too 😄

r/TwoXIndiaIs protein powder a good option if you don’t hit the gym?

It doesn’t matter if you hit gym or not, consuming protein powder won’t depend on it. 😊 Try to consume most of your macros including protein through your normal meals and only supplement the remaining protein goal with a protein powder. While there are many scammy brands out there, but for the below two I’ve heard positive reviews from everyone I know. There are of course other brands too, but for me these taste better. I have The whole truth whey protein and cosmix vanilla bean vegan protein alternatively depending on my mood. Both are nice.

Of course! I'll DM you after trying it out. I am waiting to finish my cosmix one first. It tastes horrible, so it's taking me a lot of time.

Man, it tastes like ass. I had to blend a banana, peanuts, and oats to make it palatable for me. Even thinking about the chalkiness of Cosmix makes me wanna puke. Same with their mahabaleswar strawberry variant.

I'd recommend what not to get- Cosmix. You'd rather drink chalk powder than this. The flavour is 🤮🤮🤮 I have tried their Chikmangaluru mocha and Mahabaleswar Strawberries. Both are one of their best sellers and so so bad.

Great for digestion, but not best for getting macros. It's not super pure. You get 22.5g of protein in a big 38g scoop, which means its only about 59% protein.Good whey usually has around 80%, and good plant isolate is around 70 75%. about 40% of the scoop is carbs, fiber, and flavor. it contains a lot of stuff that’s not protein. Carb Load-> 10.1g per scoop. This is a lot. If you’re taking two scoops a day, you’re adding 20g of extra carbs (like eating a banana).DigestionFiber: 5g per scoop. This is why people love it. It won’t make you feel bloated, and it actually helps you poop. Most protein powders don’t have any fiber. If you are looking for a tasty, easy to digest drink and getting the most protein for your money is not the priority, this is a good choice. If you are really focused on getting pure muscle fuel, raw pea protein isolate (like Nuzest) is a great choice.

Verdict: Good for Digestion, Weak on Macros. If you are a vegan who hates the taste of protein powder, this is a lifesaver. If you are a serious lifter counting macros, this is inefficient. 1. Purity is low * Math: 22.5g protein in a huge 38g scoop. * Result: That is only \~59% protein. * Context: Good whey is 80%. Good plant isolate is 70-75%. Here, 40% of the scoop is carbs, fiber, and flavor. You are paying for a lot of non-protein stuff. 2. Carb Load * Carbs: 10.1g per scoop. * This is very high. If you take 2 scoops a day, you are eating 20g of extra carbs (like eating a banana). 3. Digestion * Fiber: 5g per scoop. * This is why people love it. It won't bloat you. In fact, it helps you poop. Most protein powders have 0g fiber. Final Call: Buy this if you want a tasty, gut-friendly drink and dont care about maxing out your protein per rupee. If you want pure muscle fuel, look for a raw pea protein isolate (like Nuzest) instead.

they use monk fruit extract instead of sucralose or chemicals, which is rare you get 24.3g protein in a 36g scoop, which is around 67.5% purity. but since it is made from peanut protein isolate, it has higher carbs (7.07g per scoop) compared to whey. if you love peanuts and want to avoid artificial sweeteners, this is a good choice.

truebasics plant protein is also really solid choice ingredient list is super clean because it uses perfect blend of pea and brown rice protein which gives u a complete amino acid profile without any cheap fillers or artificial sweeteners. U r getting 24g of protein per scoop with added papain for digestion is great, so it is a great choice

r/Fitness_IndiaWhey vs. Plant Protein (exactly which one to buy)

I see people discussing whether plant protein is useless or if whey protein is toxic. Let’s look at the actual biology simple truth about plant vs whey. * Whey is the absolute king of muscle building. It comes from milk which means it has a complete amino acid profile. 1 scoop of whey gives ur body exactly what it needs to trigger muscle growth instantly * Plant Protein is tricky. A pea does not have all the building blocks. Brown rice doesn't either. If you buy a cheap plant protein ur body can't fully use it to build muscle. * Fix: a good plant protein must be a blend (usually Pea + Brown Rice) to combine their missing pieces and make a complete protein. Scoop: because plant protein is biologically weaker in Leucine (the muscle building trigger) 1 scoop of plant protein is not equal to 1 scoop of whey. If you switch to plants u usually need to take 1.5 scoops to get exact same muscle building effect as 1 scoop of whey. Digestion: most people who switch to plant protein aren't vegan they just got tired of whey giving them gas and acne. But you don'thave to go to plants just because ur stomach hurts. You might just be buying cheap lactose heavy whey concentrate. Buy based on your stomach and your wallet. Category 1: (best for budget) If you digest milk fine and just want cheap gains. * Look for: Whey Protein Concentrate. * nakpro or asitis Category 2: sensitive gut (premium & cean) If normal whey gives you bloating/acne, but you still want power of dairy * Look for: Unflavored Whey Protein ISOLATE. (Isolate filters out 99% of the lactose and fat). * TWT (unflavored isolate) or Wellbeing nutrition isolate (unflavored) Category 3: vegan/dairy free (best plant options) If you are vegan or dairy absolutely destroys you no matter what. * Look for: pea + brown rice blends. (never buy 100% Soy protein). * Cosmix plant protein. * They will taste a little earthy and mix thicker than whey If your stomach handles dairy buy whey. It is cheaper and more efficient. If dairy hates you buy a high quality plant blend. (all of this is just from my own personal experience)

r/Fitness_IndiaI categorized every popular Indian protein brand so you don't have to (Budget, Digestion, Lactose-Free, Premium).

I have seen that most folks not really interested in the technical details, they are more focused on figuring out whats best for their particular needs. I have compiled a list of the major brands (ON, Avvatar, Amul, MuscleBlaze etc) and categorized them by use case. **"Best Value for Money" TIER** You want protein that works and passes checks, but you don't want to spend Rs3000. * Nakpro Platinum Whey Isolate * Price: \~Rs1550 (0.5kg) * Why: This is mathematically the cheapest Isolate in India right now. Most isolates cost Rs4000+, so getting one for under Rs1600 is insane value. It mixes decent enough but you are strictly paying for the protein content not a premium milkshake experience. * Best For: Students who need the highest protein percentage for the lowest possible rupee. * As-It-Is ATOM (Double Rich Chocolate) * Price: \~Rs2300 * Why: It is USA Labdoor Certified(which is a huge trust marker) and includes DigeZyme enzymes so it doesn't bloat you like cheaper raw wheys might. It costs a bit more than other low budget whey, but the taste and digestion are much better. * Best For: Beginners who want a certified, trustable brand without spending international prices. * Amul Whey Protein (Lactose Free) * Price: Rs2000 (Pack of 30 sachets) * Why: It is arguably the highest quality raw whey because it is 100% Native Whey (extracted directly from milk, not cheese byproduct). It is Lactose Free by default. The only catch? It tastes like milky water and is always sold out. * Best For: Purists who want the cleanest protein possible and have the patience to hunt for stock. **"Digestion & Lactose Issues" TIER** For people who get gas, bloating, or acne from regular whey. * MuscleBlaze Biozyme Performance Whey * Price: \~Rs2650 * Why: This is the only Indian protein that is actually Clinically Tested for 50% higher absorption. They patented an enzyme blend specifically for Indian digestion. If other proteins make you bloated or gassy, this is the safest bet because your body absorbs more of it instead of letting it sit in your gut. * Best For: People with sensitive stomachs who want whey but are scared of the bloating. * Isopure Low Carb Isolate * Price: \~Rs4990 * Why: This is the best of isolates. It is 100% Whey Protein Isolate with virtually zero carbs and zero fillers. It is incredibly expensive (nearly 5k), but it is the cleanest, lightest protein you can buy. It mixes clear and has no lactose to upset your stomach. * Best For: Severe lactose intolerance, Keto dieters, or people with a high budget who want zero bloat. * Cosmix (Plant Protein) * Price: \~Rs1995 * Why: If you absolutely cannot do dairy, this is a No Nonsense plant protein that actually tastes decent (like the Mahabaleshwar Strawberry flavor). It is specifically marketed as Gut Friendly because it lacks the gums and heavy thickeners that make other vegan proteins taste like mud. * Best For: Vegans or people with severe dairy allergies who want a clean label. **"No Chemicals/Additives" TIER** You read the label and hate seeing Sucralose, Xanthan Gum, or Artificial Flavors. * The Whole Truth (TWT) * Price: \~Rs3400 (Flavored) * Why: They are obsessed with transparency. They don't just say No Added Sugar, they strictly use Monk Fruit instead of artificial sweeteners like sucralose. Their Light Cocoa flavor uses real cocoa and lists every single ingredient on the front. It is expensive, but it’s the only brand that promises Cleanest, Lightest Whey with zero chemicals. * Best For: Health conscious folks who have the budget and hate the chemical aftertaste of normal whey. * Avvatar Raw (Unflavored) * Price: \~Rs2600 * Why: It is the freshest option because it is Milked, Processed, and Packed within 24 hours. It has exactly ONE ingredient: Whey Protein Concentrate. No soy, no sugar, no flavors. You get full control to mix it with coffee or cocoa yourself. * Best For: Purists who want fresh, chemical free protein and can mix their own flavors. * Only Whats Needed (OWN) * Price: \~Rs2500 * Why: As the name suggests, they strictly put "Only What You Need." Their Cocoa Concentrate is simple: 24g protein per scoop, no artificial flavors, and no fillers. They test every batch for 7 critical parameters (heavy metals etc.) and keep the price very reasonable for a clean-label product. * Best For: Minimalists who want a clean label without paying TWT's premium price. **"Premium/International" TIER** You want brand value, consistent taste, and international reputation. * Dymatize ISO 100 Hydrolyzed * Price: \~Rs13699 (5 lbs / 2.3 kg) which is approx Rs5950 per kg. * Why: It is Hydrolyzed (pre-digested), meaning it absorbs faster than any other whey on this list. It is super filtered to remove excess carbs, fat and lactose. If you are a pro athlete or just want the absolute best recovery money can buy, this is it. * Best For: Pros, people with weak digestion who need fast absorption, or those who buy in bulk (5lbs). * Optimum Nutrition (ON) Gold Standard * Price: \~Rs6160 (1.7 kg) * Why: The industry standard. It works, tastes the same every time (Double Rich Chocolate is legendary), and has a massive global reputation. * Best For: People who want zero risk and consistent flavor. Note: Prices listed are approximate and change daily based on sales/offers. If you think another brand deserves to be on this list (or if you've had a bad experience with one of these) drop a comment below so we can keep this updated.

pea and rice blends naturally have a very chalky and earthy texture. cosmix is a good plant protein brand also try blending ur powder with frozen banana and some almond milk instead of just plain water because that instantly masks earthy taste and makes it feel like proper thick milkshake
