Going to try this. I have the Dymatize Vanilla, and while it's good, I find it a bit too sweet (even with 1g sugar/serving). Isopure had the perfect flavor (no sweetness) until they went and changed the formula, so I had to switch it up.
100% agree. Been using this stuff for YEARS. This new batch in the white tub is grainy, salty, leaves residue and thinner. Normally when I mix this with my coffee it's creamy and frothy, this shit is like water. I really miss the previous one and will be returning this bottle. Looks like I'll be giving the Whole Foods kind a try.
Unflavored protein powder is my new holy grail. Dump it on literally every meal.
I don't use a full scoop. It's usually half in my breakfast because it's already very saucy, so it mixes super well (Shakshuka) and then 1/4th in my lunch and dinner. And the 1/4th is so small that it tends to just mix out naturally without changing the texture too much. Or like I'll put a little bit in my milk for my coffee before frothing etc. The trick I found was to just spread out your one scoop a day everywhere that it could mix (cereal, spaghetti, mexican bowls, etc.) I'm very "one pot meal" But I'm assuming even in rice or mashed potatoes it shouldn't drastically alter the texture of anything.
Whey isolate (isopure), but I'm assuming any type of unflavored protein would work
I like Isopure Zero Carb Vanilla a lot. It mixes great with Greek yogurt and is also good with coffee or chocolate milk. I donāt drink it, just with water, but itās still good.
I like ISOpure unflavored whey isolate. Very clean.
IsoPure Zero Carb, They carry it at costco and it's pretty good stuff
Fwiw - this is their new old formula that puts carrageenan back in. Do your own research on how you feel about it. But it causes me immediate allergic reactions. Nurri is pretty much the same.
If you want something that dissolves easily in hot or cold coffee, a whey protein isolate is usually your best bet. It tends to mix smoothly and clump less than concentrate or casein. If you truly love your coffee black and want as little flavor change as possible, there are unflavored isolates like Isopure Unflavored Whey Isolate or Naked Whey Unflavored that blend in without adding sweetness or creaminess. If youāre open to a slight flavor boost, there are some great coffee-specific proteins (I like using ON Mocha Cappuccino) that pair well with coffee without overpowering it. Iāve been using another Reddit userās [deep dive on protein powders](https://www.reddit.com/user/Industrious_Bradly1/comments/1mv97y1/comparing_protein_powders_by_brand/) that I found. It lists the type of protein, flavor, and even price per scoop. If youāre still looking, I recommend you check it out.
