I like the lemon lime Liquid IV- I use more water than what it calls for but it’s less strong taste wise than Gatorade. I like the Alani Cookies and Cream, Muscle Milk Intense Vanilla, or the Quest Vanilla protein shakes.

I like Muscle Milk Pro Series Powder, specifically the Intense Vanilla flavor. 2 scoops dissolves into a 14oz shaker bottle easily and slams back in no time. I've tried a lot of flavors all along the price spectrum (my kids call their multivitamin protein vitamins because they recognize the character from a fruit pebble flavored one) but Muscle Milk Intense Vanilla powder is tasty and inexpensive

Optimum nutrition gold standard, it’s what I use most of the time. I’ve started having the muscle milk pro series 50g before going to bed as it’s a nice mix of milk protein isolate, casein and some whey for only 310 calories per 50g protein serving. Both of these mix fine, I use water and a shaker bottle. But really not much beats ON gold standard for whey. Competitors either are cheaper but taste worse/have fillers/use inferior low anabolic types of protein like collagen/not 3rd party tested/are more expensive.

This is again just... incorrect. You do realize for most people, 100% of their daily protein intake isn't coming from whey protein, right? I need to hit 200g a day of protein. It sucks. I'm not eating \~2 lbs of skinless chicken a day to get that. Hitting that requires a protein shake or two plus macro control on my other 3 meals a day. Many protein powder brands are vitamin enriched and contain other things. [Muscle milk](https://www.amazon.com/Muscle-Milk-Supplement-Certified-Packaging/dp/B0B5L6Y2CK?th=1), for all it's memes, is pretty decent stuff. [Soylent](https://soylent.com/products/soylent-drink-creamy-chocolate#shopify-section-pdp-nutritional-facts), [Huel](https://huel.com/products/huel-black-edition) and similar brands make complete meal replacement drinks that people can and have lived off of for long periods. I just don't see the evidence for your claim that it's "detrimental to your overall health"

r/moderatelygranolamomsHow do I get 90-120 g of protein??

Instead of getting pre-made protein shakes, get protein powder and *unsweetened* almond or oat milk. My favorite brands are Orgain and PB2 for plant protein, and Muscle Milk and Jocko for whey protein Low-fat cottage cheese. This is great plain, with jelly, and can also be blended and added to things. For example, I blend it and add ranch seasoning instead of using ranch dressing Non-fat Greek yogurt. My favorite is the Chobani extra protein ones that have 20g of protein each String cheese Eggs. Scrambled, hard boiled, breakfast hash, quiche, egg bake. Extra protein oatmeal packets - mix with a plain packet to offset the amount of sugar Tuna (in moderation while pregnant of course). The Starkist envelopes have good macros (80-110 cal and 13-17 grams of protein depending on what flavor) More chicken! Starkist also has envelopes of chicken that are quick and easy. I personally like the plain reduces sodium ones the best Beef, pork, turkey, lentils, beans, etc. Ground turkey is a good replacement for ground beef. There's plenty of bean and/or lentil soup recipes

r/CasualConversationWhat’s your favorite way to get more protein? Have you ever tried protein powder? (NOT dieting, just seeking ideas!)

Drinking is the easiest way to get food you don't love into you (or me at least). I like some Orgain tubs that Costco sells. Pea protein based mostly. I react to a number of things, including peanuts which are a common cheap protein source. Huel, a meal replacement aiming to be nutritionally complete has a higher protein version (black edition). Not amazing tasting, but could be more palatable to you. Not cheap, but if you buy a bunch each unit gets cheaper for you. And they have a number of flavors or varieties, even some "hot" stuff. Personally texture is really important for me. Like how it feels to take a bite, and chew it. Notice it in my mouth as I do. That's part of why cooking meat at home is so hard for me (haven't done it often enough to figure it out). Versus the basic tastes (sour, bitter, salty, sweet, umami, or spicy/hot). Or smells/aromas. Fake sugars sometimes can be combined to get closer to typical sugar sensations. Some protein powders are gritty or chalky. Often sugar makes things easier for me to happily consume. And fat helps me feel full for longer (it isn't as evil as most people think, in fact we need some). Same with fiber, so maybe you'd want a low fiber option like a whey protein or milk based protein powder (Muscle milk was pretty palatable and cheaper than many).

It tastes different to me. I actually really like it mixed with plain ol' water, way more than the premade. Won't buy the premade chocolate.
