hmm is there a reason why you don't want to buy online? if you wait for a sale on myprotein, you can get the new essential whey for \~$70 for 2.5kg.

I normally use MyProtein, I normally buy from big brands because I like the quality guarantee, and last I checked it's price competitive with the other big brands. Should be accurate to about six months ago and is in euros since I was living down south when I made this list. I would make sure to check the number because, currency change, availability, price changes etc. I'd recommend the essential whey, impact whey and impact soy powders. The soy is far and away the best with the highest value and lowest calories. However I would make sure to eat it with a meal or blend it with another powder to make sure it has a complete amino acid profile to maximise the benefit. Also I get my creatine from bulk, I buy the creatine monohydrate powder. I'd recommend the unflavoured and just mix it with some cheap juice. I find the flavours they offer don't really cover up the creatine funk taste and slightly reduces with value

I cannot offer you anything other than this, I use ON double chocolate daily for a whey chocolate sauce and mix in with porridge and cream of rice. I cook and bake with my protein isolate, my protein casein, and have also used normal my protein (all vanilla but have also done salted caramel and cookies and cream whey and they seemed the same) and it works fantastic for waffles and cakes. Both are great for shakes and mix well. I realise it’s zero information regarding the nutritional aspect but based on personal experience they’re both great and honestly I’d be happy with either and price would be a perfectly valid way to differentiate or pick one as they are much of a muchness to me.

My god I know, the price increase has been scandalous, I use the my protein every day probably more than the ON, I think you’ll be more than happy with it!

I buy protein powder in bulk (normally myprotein) and put it in shakes / yogurt ice cream.

Where are you located? If you go directly to source (e.g. Kirkland) you can buy in bulk during sales for very reasonable prices. I take a long of protein powder and started tracking brands I liked in a spreadsheet. Noticed the price went up a lot last couple of years as protein became trendy. I built my spreadsheet into this tool to budget both the cost and my macros: [https://www.proteinmath.app/](https://www.proteinmath.app/) Taste is obviously personal but I do enjoy MyProtein quite a bit. Hope you find it useful.

I personally hate flavored protein bc it tastes so artificial. Once you’re done with your current powder, try adding MyOrotein unflavored whey to cold brew iced coffee. It just tastes like an extra creamy coffee to me. (I add a bit of milk too).

Don't buy large tubs. Buy bulk in bags. As an example, you can typically find MyProtein whey for about 100 euro on sale, for a 5kg bag, aka, 166 servings. They have 23g of protein and under 2g of carbs or fats per serving. Aka, significantly better macros than yours.

If you're in the UK, you can always try MyProtein. They're generally pretty fantastic tasting.

There's nothing wrong with powder in terms of being processed. It's processed to get the whey out of the milk to provide protein in a more concentrated form but it's not bad for you. If you find it easy I don't really see an issue 😊 Milk and Greek yoghurt is fairly good for protein content. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm pretty happy to eat cooked chicken breast chunks straight from the pack 😂 easy source of protein, no prep tastes good. Cheese strings and Babybel, they don't have loads but as a snack there like a 5g boost in there plus some calcium. For taking it in the morning, even if you have some toast that has some protein in it, some peanut butter, while not a good source in terms of protein to calorie ratio, still adds some protein to the bread and it starts to add up and helps meds work better. Could do cheese on toast. Baked Beans on toast (I think if you're not from the UK other people find beans weird? 😂 Not sure where you are form but it's a staple in the UK and so easy to whip up). I often drink a Premier Protein and have a bagel with some jam (jelly to those in the US) for breakfast and that comes in at 39 grams of protein in one hit. So easy, not too high in volume and easy to prep. I just toast the bagel and add butter and jam and my shake is ready made. Protein shakes ready made are an expense though but if you buy whey from somewhere LIKE My Protein and mix it, it's pretty cheap.
