I do Naked Almond protein powder in my oatmeal every day. It’s not tasteless, but the slight taste of almonds (it’s literally 100% powdered almonds) goes well with oatmeal

Not a complete protein but my fragile digestive system does best with collagen peptides. Next easiest on my body seems to be Naked Almond protein powder. Personally, I’d avoid protein powders that have a bunch of extra ish added to them. At least not before you’ve established a type of protein (i.e. whey, pea, almond, etc) that agrees with your system, otherwise if it bugs you you won’t know if it’s the protein or whatever else is in there. And be aware that with this type of thing sometimes the negative effects seem to be cumulative— a protein might be fine at first and then after a couple weeks you might notice something is bothering you and you’re not sure what; it’s very possible it’s the protein powder.

you could always add in some spinach, almond protein powder (Naked brand makes a single ingredient one), and psyllium husk powder for more fiber. chia, flax or hemp seeds are great additions too.

I use the Naked Shake protein (either pea or almond). I do blend it, but used to use the shaker and as long as I gave it a solid 20 seconds it was always fine for me.

I also like the Naked brand of protein powders unflavored - gives a lot of control without the extra additives or artificial sweeteners sometimes found in other flavored ones - and I even add the whey to my morning oatmeal to make it a bit more sustaining for the morning 😄

Check out unflavored protein powders like the Naked line. I also hate artificial sweeteners…yuck!!! You might’ve already tried this but there are savory cottage cheese bowl recipes out there. Also, legumes, tofu, and tempeh are your savory protein friends even if you’re not vegan :-)

Yes! Why do all the manufacturers think we like stevia? It’s so sickly sweet. Also, some of us are fine with a little real sugar!

Yes, I just read that. And just started using them. That sucks. James Clark, the chief marketing officer for Naked Nutrition, wrote in a statement that the company had commissioned an independent test in response to the findings, and that it “confirmed that no heavy metals exceeded F.D.A. reference intake levels.” He also noted that, because the Vegan Mass Gainer powder is meant to help people gain weight, its serving size is larger than other plant-based powders that Consumer Reports tested. Rebecca Williams, the head of nutrition at Huel, wrote in an email that the lead content was “well within internationally recognized safety limits” and that the company’s products were “completely safe.”
