I’ve been using Naked Whey ISO….super clean, easy on GI, no extra sugars, and just good protein and amino acids. https://a.co/d/05i79oRn
As far as I know no sweeteners, and it tastes pretty good
Yes, their regular unflavored ones are just the whey and whey ISO, which is nice but wow I wish I could buy it somewhere else and it was on sale. I noticed they offered me 20% off if I did subscribe & save, BUT then you have to pay $9 shipping and tried to find a deal on Amazon as that was the only place I could find it otherwise and it was nearly as expensive. Do you have any deals where they ship for free, or maybe they have it at Costco and I haven't heard about it?
Thanks, I eat a ton of cottage cheese and love it, but I am sure even as one of my favorite all time foods, at some point, the price will just go up and up and I will also get somewhat tired of it similar to how I drink my Premier Protein shakes on the go but since only flavors I like are strawberry and vanilla, it's very boring fast. Costco only has 18 packs of vanilla that I like, not a coffee or caramel person and the strawberry is not available, plus recently they raised the price to like $37 for 18 packs, I can get the 12 packs and more flavor options for less than $2 per drink shipped 1-2 day and sometimes even next day (got 3 12 packs this week!).
Good for you. YOU GOT THIS! One thing I appreciate in this sub is the support and feedback of people. It's helpful as I don't talk to my small circle of friends about the food insecurities and weight and such. I did try and explain to a friend about "food noise" she has never had it and gets the same effect many of us do on Zepbound where we forget to eat and get busy and just have to be reminded to eat. She has this naturally so it's very foreign to her about thinking about eating and such all the time. Also, if you don to already, I would recommend seeing a counselor or such. We can all use one at many times of our lives :) Another thing, consider seeing about your insurance referring you to a nutritionist if that might help GL to you :)
I 2nd kefir! I do kefir with Naked Whey's Iso protein powder unflavored. My body does not tolerate any of those sweeteners so this has been my goto.
Hello fellow lactose intolerant friend! I found out the hard way that I couldn’t do normal whey protein. I just got Naked Whey Iso, it’s lactose free and no taste and it’s amazing. It does foam up with a shaker or a blender, which is nice when I put it in my coffee, makes it feel like a fancy coffee drink, but fyi. Highly recommend.
I like unflavored Naked ISO.
Do you have issues digesting other dairy products/milk/cheese? If you have issues with other dairy you will have issues with whey (it's dairy). Try just plain, unflavored, unsweetened whey protein. A brand called Naked Whey makes both a regular whey and a whey protein isolate that is literally just unflavored, unsweetened whey. There are probably other brands. You'll need to read the ingredient list - it should just be whey and nothing else except maybe an emulsifier (like sunflower lecithin). If you try this and still have digestive issues, you likely just can't tolerate whey protein or need to build up to being able to tolerate it (depending on how bad the issues are - if you're just a little bloated or gassy after having a shake that might go away or ease after a week or two of having them regularly). You'll want to mix the plain protein powder with your own flavorings and sweetener. IMO it does not taste good on its own. Be weary that a lot of people have digestive issues with artificial sweeteners, which are commonly found in protein drinks, protein drink recipes, and flavored protein powders. Stick with adding ingredients to flavor/sweeten that you know you tolerate well.
