Pea protein is an incomplete source of protein and tastes horrible..... Try blend ... As of now I can suggest you nacpro plant protein chocolate flavour... Vanila one also tastes like shit.... I don't recommend buying pea protein.... Or buy amul buttermilk or lassi you will get 15g protein and good for gut and good probiotic ( mainly buttermilk) that will also cost around 750 rupees for 30 days... ( Amul buttermilk also tastes bad but can use it as dahi and make chat out of it little better , donot know about lassi donot personally tried it )...

Pea protein tastes like shit ...like mud... Even in nakpro you will taste the pea but because of the chocolate flavour and other additives it is still better...if you want just protein buy amul buttermilk milk 15g + add 2 more egg 10-12g.... You can just see the taste review in the previous posts on reddit....

I'm a student so got the nakpro plant protein(pea+brown rice) as its the cheapest possible that's also trustified certified. Any opinions on the specific product?

yeah got excited that they were cheap and ordered like pea and brown rice protein powders from nakpro and as it is nutrition, and guess what? they tasted horrible, I still have those powders rotting down in my room, and I still have to find the best use case scenarios, I made DIY protein bars, turned out to be great, so will use it for that mostly.

All plant protein powder will taste chalky, but if you haven’t ever tasted whey I think it should be good. Nak pro plant protien is third party lab tested and tastes decent and is priced well too. Cosmix and Earthful have similar ingredients and both are decent too, Superyou is good (I have unflavoured yeast protein that I use in Daal, dahi, etc.) cosmix has rice and pea as well as yeast version.

Not a good comparison since that is just pea protein. Nakpro vegan protein sells for around 1100~. So only 300₹ more expensive and I would really trust food pharmer over nakpro. And this is coming from someone who is down 10 packets of nakpro vegan protein.

People look for the cheapest protein that actually passes testing, not random trash. There’s a difference. Nakpro passes independent Trustified quality and safety tests. That means protein content, heavy metals, amino spiking, and label accuracy are verified. So the “below 45%” claim from random videos means jack shit unless backed by proper lab reports. Also notice something funny: why are these guys making videos only on Nakpro’s protein % and not doing side-by-side tests with other brands? Why no comparison videos? Because Nakpro is pricing the competition out. When a brand delivers verified protein at a much lower cost per gram, it pisses off both competitors and influencers who can’t sell expensive tubs anymore. Calling a product unsafe or low quality just because it’s cheap is lazy thinking. Expensive doesn’t mean clean. Cheap doesn’t mean bad. Branding is not quality. If Nakpro clears safety, purity, and protein verification and still costs less per gram, how exactly is choosing it “skimping”? Yes, whole foods are good. Yes, Amul is fine. But whey exists for convenience, digestibility, and cost-efficient complete protein. For many people, Nakpro simply gives the best protein per rupee without failing standards. Saving money at the cost of health is stupid. But paying extra when the cheaper option is tested, clean, and verified is also stupid. Cheap and verified beats expensive hype

Trustworthy people’ is not evidence. Names, labs, methods, batch numbers — or it’s just noise. Trustified publishes actual lab reports with protein %, heavy metals, amino spiking, and batch IDs. If you have a test that contradicts that, post the report. Saying ‘a retest is coming’ means nothing, science doesn’t work on previews. Until a failed lab result is published, the last verified data stands. Also, spending 25–40k/year on protein powder is a personal choice, not an argument about quality. The discussion is about whether Nakpro passes objective testing, not feelings or rumors. If it fails a retest, I’ll drop it. Until then, verified data > anecdotes. In God we trust, for everything else, bring me data.
