I think it is better to just look for those lab test results and make a choice yourself. I am trying out different stuff too to figure out what's best for me. Tried TWT unflavoured but realized unflavoured wasn't for me. Then switched to Naturaltein pistachio 30g was good. Not that great tasting. Had pistachio nuts in them that tasted off. The Stevia after flavour was strong but I got used to all that within a week. Now I'm trying their chocolate flavour which I didn't like at all. Will try some other brands next.

I quit ON last yr too and tried a lot of protein so far im liking naturaltien a lot.

im using the unflavoured from amul never had any foaming issues at all, when u used to have naturaltein it foamed more tbh

I wouldn't be too hasty to blame just the maltodextrin for your digestive issues, maltodextein is bad but some people have issues digesting lactose, so maybe try isolate protein (where the lactose is removed). If I were you, this is what I'd do, try Whey Concentrate of a different brand. If the digestion issue persists then move on to Whey Isolate. As for the question you asked as to what brand I'd suggest, that would depend on the budget. I personally purchase my protein in the 2 to 2.5K range, currently I'm using Muscle Nectar which is a blend of Isolate & Concentrate & costs around 2.3K, i have previously used Avvatar, Muscleblaze, Naturaltein & Fuel One. I do not purchase Muscleblaze & Avvatar anymore because they have become ridiculously & unreasonably expensive and cost around 3K right now. Nothing to laugh about here mate! Brands like naturaltein, twt and that brand from food pharmer are even better than many of the imported protein brands.

naturaltein has various certs. they use natural flavors and stevia (no sucralose/artificial junk).it has mild taste it won't be super sweet because it lacks artificial sweeteners. it is expensive as well in which u can buy avvatar isorich or twt isolate which I would is better option as they are cleaner and have high protein content.

I can vouch for Atom whey protein. Iv’e been consuming ATOM for almost three years. Its good and light on gut. I recently tried experementing and switched to Naturaltein, somehow i dont like the aftertaste of stevia. Once I finish this I am switching back to ATOM. Atom’s double rich chocolate, vanilla and cafe mocha are descent flavours and they also dont leave a weird aftertaste.

I have been taking whey for a while and have tried a couple of brands under different budgets. Here are the ones I have never faced any problems with. Prices are for 1kg pack. Under 2k Nakpro Perform Whey A little sweeter but I like both chocolate and malai kulfi flavour. Between 2k to 2.5k Fuelone Naturaltein Superyou Chocolate flavours for all. The first two are really good. Didn’t find superyou’s taste there honestly, it’s okayish. Above 2.5k The Whole Truth Light, mixes well and decent taste. I know I have missed a dozen brands but don’t wanna put anything that I haven’t tried for atleast 30 days. Also, whey suits me, so haven’t included isolate options. Lastly, a thumb rule of buying protein - always take a tester pack first (mini one week pack). Hope this helps if you’re buying whey for first time.
