NOW Foods unflavored whey isolate from Amazon. Runs about $135 for 10lb. Haven’t found a better price on pure whey isolate. For my shakes I add a heaping teaspoon of dutch process ultra-dark cocoa powder, a few drops of sucralose sweetener, and a little bit of NuSalt (it’s a salt substitute that’s pure potassium, so adds some electrolytes and also brings out the chocolate flavor). Tastes exactly like what I remember the ON Double Rich Chocolate tasting like back when it wasn’t so insanely expensive.

Now Sports whey protein isolate unflavored https://a.co/d/dMx2y0z their 10lbs is only $0.81/ounce https://a.co/d/angzsAz ——————— ^ I use this for my overnight oats protein bowl ( I make the overnight oats separate, then add a scoop of protein powder, 1 cup of berry blend; and throw it into a ninja creami; it’s delicious, and the protein powder only has 2 ingredients and you’re getting 25 grams of protein in a 28 gram protein powder serving ( 1 scoop ) = 89.2% protein per serving )

I'm a no frills type of person when it comes to protein powder. I avoid the flavored stuff... I use Now unflavored whey protein isolate in 10 lb bags. If you shop sales, you can usually find it for sub $100 a bag throughout the year (including right now). That's a great value IMO and it has a high protein % per serving. On a side note, I'm working through a bag of their chocolate whey protein isolate that I bought on a whim...it's alright. Not sweet at all, underwhelming flavor profile.

Won’t nearly any “whey protein isolate” be free of these? It’s just pure protein with zero fillers. I like MyProtein for super clean and quality. Or NOW brand on Amazon for when I’m on a budget.

Now Sports unflavored whey protein isolate. If I didn't add it myself, I would never know it's in my food/drinks

Fairlife premade shakes are the undisputed king of protein drinks and I don't think it's particularly close. Pretty much just chocolate milk. Jocko is decent also, as far as premades go. For powder, I think it varies a lot depending on what you do with the powder. There are some that taste good but don't mix well, basically requiring a blender. It also depends on your tolerance for artificial sweeteners. Ghost has interesting flavors but have way too much artificial sweetener for my taste. My general preference for powder is an unflavored whey isolate that I can add the flavors to myself (something like NOW Foods Sports Nutrition). If I don't have the time or energy to make it myself, that's what the Fairlife premades are for.

i use Now Foods Sports Nutrition (not sure how much of that's redundant) Whey Isolate, have been having some symptoms that appear like i'm likely suffering from heavy metal poisoning, so i'd stopped taking it about 3w ago, trying to figure out what i'm going to do now, since it wasn't tested, and i can't find any other large protein tests that did test it, i'm probably gonna switch to one that was, tho it was the best price... i have a bag of the pea protein but it tasted bad and was too thick for me to choke down so i never finished it.. i'm not sure protein powder is the culprit, but i think i'm gonna err on the side of caution til i can see a doc (i'm in the middle of a move) and get some tests run. are you sticking with the brand, or have you found an alternative?

hi, just seeing this, sorry, but i just started browsing around again, i've been preoccupied and dealing w some other health issues and stuff, but i'm gonna take a peek around right now, i'll let you know if i find anything. good to hear re whey, i'll i just sort of assumed it was the isolate bc that consumer reports article came out around the time I began feeling super bad so i made a hasty coorelation.
