unflavored pea protein works way better imo. it’s more neutral, kinda earthy but it disappears once you add fruit/nut butter. it also thickens oats nicely instead of making them weirdly creamy. just add a little extra liquid. i also like [unflavored whey](https://dk5cnflyn7mcb.cloudfront.net/?q=GMKAO3339) but just add more liquid to avoid the dairy note soy protein isolate is another good option if you’re ok with soy. very bland, mixes smooth and doesn’t mess with flavor much at all. probably the closest to does nothing in oatmeal.
Whey isolate definitely makes it easier and is high quality protein. I get a big 5lb jug from iHerb: "Nutricost, Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate". iHerb always has some kind of sale or deal going on so the price can be pretty reasonable. Last time I paid $68.76. I get the unflavored and mix it into my breakfast fruit smoothie. Can't even tell it's in there.
Unflavored whey disappears in a fruit smoothie. I use the Nutricost one, look for frequent sales on iHerb or the Nutricost site.
Same. Nutricost unflavored whey isolate. They also have a grass fed unflavored. Amazon.

I've been using nutricost grass fed whey, it's the cheapest clean alternative I've found. Not only is sucralose detrimental to your health it also tastes way too sweet to me.
I use Nutricost grass-fed whey. It has zero additives and carbs and mixes beautifully with Greek yogurt (even better with berries added for natural sweetness and fiber). I was surprised when I saw much extra crap is added to other proteins, especially the flavored ones. I don’t need more vitamins and artificial sweeteners, just protein.
Nutricost Chocolate Peanut Butter Isolate is my choice. Tastes really good, is as “reasonable” as protein gets these days, and is third-party tested as well.
