Since I already eat enough whole food soy, I like to use PEA PROTEIN ISOLATE (unflavored). I currently use NUTRICOST & MICRONUTRIENTS brands and they both mix really well in seitan’s, baking, yogurt, tofu (for high protein chocolate mousse!!) etc. They are 3rd party tested and good pricing, imo.
I currently use NUTRICOST & MICRONUTRIENTS PEA PROTEIN ISOLATE powders (INFLAVORED) & find them both affordable, third party tested, & easy to mix & also use in my seitan and cooking recipes.
Pea Protein ISOLATE (unflavored): If you already eat a fair amt of soy foods, pea protein isolate offers a really strong complementary asst of amino acids shown to be good for lean muscle mass building. I like unflavored since it’s pure pea and I ca flavor it different ways and add it to food recipes too. These 3 brands are fairly cost effective and third party tested: NUTRICOST DEAL SUPPLEMENTS MICRO INGREDIENTS There def are a lot others, I’m using these rn and like them. 🖖
I take nuticost pea protein and mix it with Ceylon cinnamon powder. The protein is cheap, vegan, the cinnamon has its health benefits and helps the powder go down.
I switched from whey to nutricost unflavored pea protein isolate
Definitely. Study up on the different kinds, i.e. whey isolate is fast absorbed, casein is slowly absorbed. I guess you don't need to study since I just told you lol I like nutricost unflavored - I just use my flavored water.
Your best bet will be to pick out an UNFLAVORED protein powder and flavor/sweeten according to your specifications. Nutricost is widely reviewed favorably and on the less expensive end. I also like Isopure, but it costs a bit more. Most flavored powders will have sweaters in them, often sucralose.
Lol, I was going to recommend Nutricost too, as it meets all the requirements that you mentioned. The ingredients and gramage are all very consistent with the staying in lean goal. I did see that you ended up buying the unflavoured one. Maybe for your next run, you can try out the [strawberry one](https://dk5cnflyn7mcb.cloudfront.net/?q=GMKAO1257), it tastes much better.
