Since I already eat enough whole food soy, I like to use PEA PROTEIN ISOLATE (unflavored). I currently use NUTRICOST & MICRONUTRIENTS brands and they both mix really well in seitan’s, baking, yogurt, tofu (for high protein chocolate mousse!!) etc. They are 3rd party tested and good pricing, imo.
Lol, I was going to recommend Nutricost too, as it meets all the requirements that you mentioned. The ingredients and gramage are all very consistent with the staying in lean goal. I did see that you ended up buying the unflavoured one. Maybe for your next run, you can try out the [strawberry one](https://dk5cnflyn7mcb.cloudfront.net/?q=GMKAO1257), it tastes much better.
This stuff is gross imo sorry
Bingo! This is the cheapest I've found - $2.79 per 100g of protein, and at the lower end of calories (480 calories per 100g protein).
If you've ever tried to reach out to them to see the results from their third party testing you might feel differently. They completely refused to provide any information without a purchase order #, and even then some of the tests contained "proprietary information" and couldn't be shared. I did eventually get them to admit that if a batch of product has an unsafe amount of lead the most they will do is put a prop65 warning on it.
I'm well aware, which is why I ask companies for results. It is alarming/annoying/shady the degree for which nutricost hides their results.
I use nutricost too just because it's so damn cheap. That price is hard to beat. Is it the best? Idk. It's better than running out because I haven't got paid yet.
