Nutricost Been using it for years and I’m very happy with the amount of protein, the flavor, and the affordability. https://a.co/d/1DMxrn2

If this is correct, then it’s not technically a lie that it’s beef protein, it’s just the same beef protein as one would find in gelatin. Gelatin can be obtained relatively cheaply. There’s no need to buy it from a trendy brand. Most people who are pushing for namebranded protein are selling something that is more expensive than what one could get otherwise. Personally, I can’t digest whole meat, eggs, or tofu without serious problems. So protein powder is the best way for me to get my needs met. As a bodybuilder who is also transitioning from female to male, the combination of testosterone and exercise has increased my need for protein quite a bit. But I don’t use gelatin much, for exactly the reasons that you specified. Generally, the cheapest and most efficient way to get high quality protein powder is through whey or soy protein isolates. My coach prefers whey, but lately I’m finding that I might want to start mixing in some soy again because it seems to be a little bit better for satiety, and the low price doesn’t hurt either. I also use some defatted peanut powder that’s over 50% protein for aesthetic purposes. In the past, I’ve used rice, pea, and hemp, but hemp doesn’t agree with my digestion and rice/pea doesn’t have the ideal balance of amino acids. In general, any powder that is egg or meat based doesn’t have anything going on with it that can’t be obtained from the items that I’ve already listed. I purchase from reputable brands. My favorite is NOW, which has an excellent reputation for in-house testing. I sometimes use Nutricost for whey, but not for chocolate based flavors which have a higher likelihood of heavy metal contamination. Whey in general has a lower likelihood of heavy metal content than a plant protein, another reason that I prefer it over soy. Nutricost whey isolate milk chocolate has become my go-to.

nutricost whey protein isolate. It is 100% pure whey protein, no additives, also the lowest cost per g of protein that I have found. It tastes like.... whey protein, but I usually mix it into stuff like oatmeal, smoothies, and what not, so flavor isn't a big deal.

Nutricost Vanilla Whey Protein. Absolutely delicious. Been on it for a year. Nothing has come close

To be fair, not many. 3 others. Ryse was okay, Ghost is ass, I forgot the brand but some kind of Hulk vanilla ice cream flavor, awful. Then I've also tried a few premixed like fair life protein and muscle milk and both are also ass. Just a weird after taste. The nutricost always breaks down good, has a good thickness, and no weird after taste.

Unflavored whey disappears in a fruit smoothie. I use the Nutricost one, look for frequent sales on iHerb or the Nutricost site.

Nutricost (available on Amazon, third party tested) is my go to - whey isolate for fast absorption, casein for slow. I get unflavored and use an electrolyte stick, or I chug and chase - it's not terrible.

Definitely.  Study up on the different kinds, i.e. whey isolate is fast absorbed, casein is slowly absorbed. I guess you don't need to study since I just told you lol I like nutricost unflavored - I just use my flavored water.

One thing I’ve learned is that you should mix with milk, almond milk, or even a bit of peanut butter for flavor if the powder itself is plain. Adding frozen fruit or cocoa powder can make it way more palatable. Also pls don’t fall for any overmarketed bs on tiktok or any ‘trending’ powders that don’t have real nutrition backing, stick to brands with lab-tested ingredients and clear protein counts. The one you got is a decent pick actually, tastes good and mixes well. It’s whey isolate so you get a pretty clean protein hit. [Nutricost’s powder](https://noxohub.github.io/radar/?q=OGJ83471) is also a good one, similar to willah, just cheaper.
