The cookies and cream flavoured casein protein from Optimum Nutrition tastes heavenly, like a creamy oreo shake. The whey version tastes terrible though

Casein protein works better than whey in creami. I use optimum nutrition

Another vote for ON here - their Casein Chocolate Supreme in particular is absolutely the best powder I’ve used in the Creami, as it always results in super soft and creamy ice cream.

I’d disagree on Casein. I use Optimum Nutrition for both my whey and casein and the latter made so much creamier and softer ice cream than just whey (even with xanthan gum added). Both are chocolate flavoured, but the casein is chocolate “supreme”, so maybe that’s what made the taste difference.

Yes that’s the one mate. I make it with ON Casein (Chocolate Supreme) and my creami’s come out so good. I’m getting a bit tired of chocolate after a month of daily chocolate creami’s, so will be switching to the vanilla flavoured ON Casein once I’m finished with my current tub.

I thought they served different purposes; whey has faster absorption which makes it ideal for post workouts and casein has slower absorption making it ideal for adding protein to shakes or meeting your daily protein goals on certain days when you can’t get it though diet. I use both: Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Supreme (casein) for my breakfast smoothie and pre bed water-based shake Optimum Nutrition Vanilla Birthday Cake (whey) for post workouts

ON Gold chocolate, casein, not whey. I mix it with half milk half water, add some mixed, frozen berries and a small banana then blend it. If you want it sweeter, add some erythritol. It’s actually quite nice and a genuine meal replacement.

love pescience. I used to drink ON but then my stomach would always gurgle a little after. no issues with pescience and the flavours are better than ON imo!

I saw this and cheered. I was told I was paying a premium for name but that it was also quality when picking my protein. Glad to see I made the right choice, and those YouTube’s were full of it

Made in Canada. That’s a good start. Flavour is good. Optimal Nutrition is a great protein powder but with it being from the U.S. and the price increases makes it a big fat no for me.

ON had always been the best and very scrupulous, as far as I'm aware at least, about sourcing ingredients.
