They have a nice vegan version (I’m allergic to whey)
In my experience, vanilla protein powder is always awful. Flavors are all over the place with powders, and the safe bet has always been chocolate, but it still varies between brands. Optimum Nutrition's chocolate flavors are good and have been my choice for years, though my most recent purchase was a flavorless protein powder from Protein Factory, which is great, and is great for supplementing shakes, pancakes, yogurts, etc without making weird flavors. I might suggest keeping a bottle of chocolate syrup on standby until you go through it all, and powders are always better with milk however your body/.diet allows it.
Get some peanut butter powder and add a spoon of that and a little sea salt to any chocolate protein powder (like ON)… it’s delicious
ON chocolate with unsweetened Kirkland vanilla almond milk.
when you’ve tried several and you say they taste bland. Do you mix it with water or do you mix it with milk? Mixing it with water is one of the biggest things I tell people never to do because it becomes like to force it down. Personally to me when I lived in the US, I went for a chocolate flavors. Personally, when I tested from the US ,optimum nutrition the mixability, and the flavors to me personally were very good. The brand is also third-party tested. Myprotein impact Whey again. I thought the taste was pretty decent compared to a lot of other brands. And last is Blue Star. Mixability and they had a wide variety of tastes, but I’m a sucker for chocolate so I tested all over these three for chocolate and I think blue star one on the taste optimum won overall.
I use the chocolate and vanilla ice cream optimum nutrition for mine and my husbands ice cream and we really like it. Tried my same recipe with Ghost Oreo and fruity pebbles recently and it was ok.
Ninja electric blender. Chocolate ON with milk & frozen bananas or cherries.
I really like Optimum Nutrition. They have two types of chocolate so try them both?
Will any do? Pretty much yeah. Find some flavors you like. I use Dymatize for chocolate fudge, mocha, and cappuccino flavors and then Optimum Nutrition for when I need some vanilla goodness
been using optimum nutrition vanilla for years I’m sure many here has been using the same brand but different flavors, you’re overthinking this a bit grab a 5 lb bag and go on about your day
