Everybody has different tastes by I've tried about 15 different brands and for me it's PE Science and it's not even close. Their peanut butter cookie and snickerdoodle flavors are the only protein powder you can mix solely with water and have it still taste like a milkshake. Everything else you either need to add milk or other mixins to make them taste bearable, which also adds extra calories to each shake.
I've tried somewhere between 10-15 different brands (including every one mentioned so far in the comments here) and PeScience is head and shoulders above everything else. Like it's not even close. Snickerdoodle and Peanut Butter Cookie are my top two and especially because they mix incredibly well with just water. The other flavors are also great but definitely need milk or they taste too watery.

Hey guys, For some reason I I don’t like some of the “goated” mainstream protein powders. I was so addicted I would just us water + ryse protein powder and that would be enough, however addictions slowly fade away and you start cravings some luxurious tasting stuff. **What I love but now kind of bored of:** * Ryse protein (Chocolate cookie blast, Peanut Butter cup, Cosmic Brownie), I have eaten 6 pints per day of these for about a year. Served me well * Ghost whey (Slowly hated the chip’s ahoy, noticed it wasn’t rly my cup of tea, I loved the Coffee Ice cream) * Muscle Sport Lean Whey (overall I did not mind the flavors, I can finish a tub even tho it wasn’t my favorite flavor) * PandaSupps (I like their formulations but need to find the perfect flavor, ordered some more) **What I tried and rly tried to love but couldn’t:** * PEScience, I tried so many times and so many flavors, they just never hit home for me. (chocolate truffle, CnC was very cream heavy) * 1up, their protein powders were rly cream flavor heavy * Axe and Sledge (C&C, Chocolate macadamia) * Legion (Salted caramel, dutch chocolate) * Transparent labs (used to love their dark chocolate but flavor was too mild after a while) * Myprotein (Several chocolate flavor, salted caramel) * Jocko Molk (chocolate, didn’t mind it but didn’t topple ryse, wasn’t worth it for me) * Applied Nutrition (Choco Beuno, White choco Beuno) * Isopure (chocolate) * Mre Lite (Chocolate, Fudge Brownie) * Clean Simple Eats (brownie batter) * Dymatize (Cocoa Pebbles, flavor weren’t rly strong for me) * Ekkovision (Tiramisu, Brownie batter) * Fairlile milk + vanilla extract was abysmal IMO * Orgain (tasted rly weird, maybe its the plant-based formulation) * Optimum Nutiriton (l was hesitant to put this, last time I used it was 2022/23, at the time it wasn’t rly good, but they could have improved so. I tried their chocolate/vanilla, milk was okay but with water, I didn’t like it) **Btw: this has been a very expensive trial and error but worth it.** **Final notes:** It sounds like I am a pain to recommend to, hopefully someone as messed up as me can be helped. As you notice I am chocolate heavy advocate, Idm a vanilla here and there if it’s amazing, lean whey and panda supps vanilla are great. **Flavors I despise, (or maybe haven't tasted good one):** * I don’t like mint (non-negotiable) * pure peanut butter flavored * fruity/cream heavy flavors as you see. For example strawberry shortcake by ryse was more cake/cream than pure strawberry. **Possible flavor/goals:** * I guess the best case scenario for me would be a great vanilla which I think I have, but have never found a good salted caramel (awaiting my panda supps order) * Also Biscoff (cookie butter) * But as you see I like chocolate, chocolate hazelnut, Ferraro Roche/Nutella vibes I get tempted to re-order most protein I don’t like from the sheer positive reviews they get. **Attempts:** I have tried normal cacao, very expensive dutch powders, black cacaos and expensive vanilla bean extracts. They all just try and mask the protein flavor and are dominant, I don’t like the intense dry pure cacao flavor For example when I use a 1Tbsp of Dutch chocolate it overrides any flavor and I just taste that powder, it doesn't seem to blend, just overpower. If i use too little, I can't even sense it's there. I like rich/luxurious gelato/Haagen-Dazs/Lindt vibes. Sorry for the long post. I hope I am not being annoying and hope someone can help me out 😭. Edit: I don’t mind other solutions as well, anything that would work and is not a calorie bomb. I am trying to replicate PinkBerry’s Chocolate Hazelnut rn, I hate normal yogurt and love Greek. I know Pinkberry uses yogurt but their chocolate hazelnut is heavenly.
I’ve heard Pescience can have bad batches and some bad flavors. But panda supps’s flavors are never a miss IMO. They have a very good choc pb, and a biscoff variant called salted caramel biscuit. Both are very good. I’d def put my money on Panda supps. I order my protein from the US to the middle east. So I rly have to pick the best of the best as it’s expensive to ship. I pick panda supps for their great blend and flavors and also I like core nutritionals and also one vote for muscle sport lean whey (its an isolate but their flavors are very good, they just restocked their protella (nutella flavored), and their dubai chocolate. I’d say every protein brand has a specific flavor I like, for pescience many praise their cake flavors and vanilla, panda supps nail those vanilla/biscoff flavors, muscle sport lean whey nail those niche flavors. I just blindly ordered 2 tubs of lean whey dubai chocolate cuz I’m that confident. I also ordered a sample pack of pescience CnC, i didn’t like it at first but thinking of using their CNC with oreos as mix-ins to “fix” the flavor
I didn’t mention ON because last time I used it was 2022/23, at the time it wasn’t rly good, but they could have improved so I didn’t mention it. I tried their chocolate and vanilla, with milk its okay but with water, I didn’t like it

Update: I didn’t like most PeScience flavors but the gourmet vanilla. Pure class. Amazing flavor, blew my expectations.
Definitely worth it. I buy vanilla
Those are my two go-to brands. PEScience is straight milk protein, which is made up of casein and whey (I think like 4:1 casein to whey), and the Dymatize is hydrolyzed whey isolate. I generally use the PEScience in my overnight oats and for cooking, because I like the texture it provides better than the straight whey, and drink the Dymatize after I workout. I’ve tried several flavors of each, and liked them all, but can’t comment on the cookies and cream from either specifically. I’m not even sure if either even sells that flavor, tbh.
This is it. I use yogurt or cottage cheese in muffins as replacements for butter and oil, or half/half. If you use cottage cheese, you have to blend it smooth (I usually blend it with the eggs and sugar/sweetener ingredients). You can also try replacing some of the flour with a vanilla protein powder, in a 1:1 ratio. Transparent Labs or PE Science are really great for this one flavor and texture wise, due to the blend of whey and casein used. They will cook a bit faster than traditional muffins, so keep an eye on them (350 for 15-18 min is how I do it). I make these by the dozen at home and they don’t last more than two days.
Ghost protein powder is the GOAT, particularly their Nutter Butter, Cinnabon and Chips Ahoy flavors. PE Sciences Select protein powder is also great! Their Chocolate Cupcake is delicious. I am a heavy lifter and have consumed more protein powder in the past five years than many do in their lifetime. 😆 These two brands are the ones I come back to again and again.
PEScience gourmet vanilla is absolutely amazing for this machine and I also add 1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste and it tastes just like vanilla ice cream
I’ve had good success with PEScience chocolate truffle really good taste.
I think it’s excellent for baking (generally casein is better than whey for that, and the blend works well). I think it is borderline inedible for just taking straight. Just my opinion
I like PEscience snicker doodle
For shakes, their cookies n cream one is my absolute favorite of all brands. All their flavors are really good though 💯💯
I’ve tried most of the flavours and i don’t think there’s one that i really dislike? They have a few peanut butter flavours which are really popular, as well as cookies and cream (but i find there is this slightly weird salty aftertaste). They are all quite nice, if you’re hesitant can try chocolate truffle, it’s a more basic choco flavour
