So I know this one isn’t for everyone but I like the promix vegan vanilla protein powder, very subtle sweetness with monk fruit. Pros: Macros are great, it’s fortified with b12 and a great source of iron, relatively well priced Cons: chalky, but okay if you have it as a smoothie The hack I have for making it creamier is blending up soy milk and 2 dates before I add anything, then adding protein powder and frozen fruit. The dates make the texture a lot smoother
Promix. Vegan and pea protein. Expensive, but very very low metals
I get the french vanilla and mix with almond milk and fruit.
I switched to Promix vegan. Best vegan powder I've tried. Whey f'd me up, took a long time to figure out too.
Smoothies make them far more palatable. We order Promix which is a clean pea protein powder. Banana, coconut yogurt, and maybe another fruit go a long way. However, she should be consuming a significant amount of nuts, seeds, and legumes. Tempeh, peanuts, hemp seeds, and sunflower seeds are great for both macro and micro nutrients. It is much easier to gain muscle by including a generous amount of those in your diet. Of course, all this would be best be paired with some type resistance training or exercises that require strength.
I use Promix unflavored, and would generally recommend it.
I've been using the unflavored promix for a while, it works just fine. In my experience it does not mix well in almond milk and does not taste great (or necessarily that bad?) but it does the job.
Try Promix, it’s on the expensive side, but 100% worth it. I always thought I was sensitive to Whey protein until I tried Promix and have had no issues. I’ve only had the Madagascar vanilla, but I think it tastes really good almost like the vanilla carnation instant breakfast powders. Other brands gave me headaches, extreme bloating and upset stomach. Look into some of the added ingredients in the protein powders that didn’t work out for you, that could be the real culprit as I believe that was my issue.
I stand by earth chimp or promix chocolate protein powders. Both have solid macros, ingredients and are tasty. I like some of both, with ice, banana and some peanut flour for a good taste and texture shake.
