Fancy tinned fish. So easy. Doesn’t have to be refrigerated. Can be thrown in a bag and taken anywhere. Generally between 16-27g of protein per can. Lots of great flavors. I will say these can start getting pricy as well if you start exploring the fancier side of tinned fish. Costco roast chickens are also a godsend. Shred and throw on a salad. Shred and throw in with some scrambled eggs. Sit on the floor and eat it with your hands. Easy protein galore. I find most protein powders disgusting but the Puoria dark chocolate flavor is more like a cacao powder than a fake sweetener chocolate and I just put a little agave syrup in it or make it with harmless harvest coconut water and it’s pretty tasty. Also highly reccomend the NYT miso glazed salmon recipe. Very fast and easy and I usually make a bunch of extra portions and eat it for a couple days.
Keep in mind to try to find powders third party tested by Clean Label Project or a similar third party. In Canadian products look for Isura on the label. Also note chocolate can have higher levels of cadmium and lead. Check out Puori whey protein or Natural Factors Whole Earth and Seas protein + greens (plant based).
I use Puori as well after reading all of the crap that is put in protein powders, not to mention the levels of heavy metals.
👍🏼 I use Puori so we both will be neurologically protected 🤞🏼…Unless microplastics get us! What flavor do you get and do you like taste and consistency once mixed?
It’s not overblown when it comes to bio-accumulative heavy metal toxins. I typically have 4 servings a day, so that can be detrimental if you don’t make the right choice. I personally use Pouri brand, as expensive as it is, but worth the peace of mind. Here is a list of other choices too. https://preview.redd.it/tofckakssavf1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45d6c7b4339f3af6bf0f2def966b0de44293c67e
I use Puori (and their Omega 3) because of their rep. Not sure about others
I also don't like the flavor and texture of whey powder. I usually do Isopure plain whey mixed with Nesquick and milk. If you have a Sprouts near you their bulk buy whey powder is solidly OK, it blends pretty good and doesn't taste completely terrible. One of my friends uses chocolate Puori which is probably the best protein powder I've ever had but it is so expensive.
