I’ve tried the Quest Strawberry Milkshake protein and it’s actually pretty close to strawberry milk, not too chalky. Might be worth a shot if you’re chasing that nostalgia.
Quest Chocolate Milkshake is my favorite taste wise. So good. I’m picky with taste. Muscle milk also tastes good.
Fairlife milk with quest Chocolate milkshake protein powder. It’s cheaper and tastes great
Has anyone tried this and Quest chocolate protein powder? Which do you prefer? I love quest chips and protein bars but the powder is just so so.
I started using protein powders a few months ago. While I enjoy protein shakes every now and then, I tend to use the powder as a simple spread mixed with water which I use on top of English muffins. The first couple of brands I tried were PEScience (chocolate peanut butter cup) and Quest (cinnamon toast), which are both whey/casein blends. I found that those two mixed well and produced a great tasting, thick paste with good texture that was easily spreadable. I turned to protein powders looking fo an alternative to PB2 because I'd gotten tired of the monotony and this worked really well for me. Both brands have a 'concentrated' flavor that is really rich. I also have a few sample packs that I'll be trying in the near future-MuscleSport, Optimum and Transparent Labs. But these are all straight whey concentrate/isolate and I think most of them will probably end up too watery to suit my taste. I've already tried a couple of the isolate/concentrates and both turned soupy really quickly if I added even a little too much cold water; the exact opposite holds true of the whey/casein blends where you need more water to get all the powder mixed. Puls I've found that the same powder weight in a concentrate/isolate produces about half the amount of spread as the casein blend.
I’m a big fan of Quest’s Cinnamon Crunch flavor. I usually mix it with half almond milk, half kefir, and add a tbsp of chia seeds. Tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
The optimum nutrition cookies and cream is the best bang for your buck imo. To me, it tastes much better than their vanilla flavor and is just as versatile. I make waffles, muffins, overnight oats, etc with it pretty regularly. I also really enjoy the Quest cinnamon crunch flavor for specific things like French toast and cream of wheat. Both taste good and are relatively inexpensive compared to some other brands.
