I’m loving https://revolution-nutrition.com/us/product/high-whey?sku=12008028 right now! I do buy the big ass bags and the value is unmatched but they do have 2lb/24 serving tubs for a reasonable cost. The birthday cake in a creami pint with cake batter extract is delightful. I also use the cookie dough ice cream which has a much more subtle flavor but with PB fit and butterextract it’s still delicious. I got some of my lifting pals into this brand and they all swear by the cookies and cream which will be next on my order list, probably try chocolate hazelnut too!
The revolution brand chocolate peanut butter cup is amazing. A bit cheaper than this c4 protein too
Per scoop you're consumign 5g of filler compared to ON gold standard, also no way to tell how much lead is in this. I suggest waiting for a sale its only 25% more to buy ON which is another universe of better quality than this.
Yeah 5g per scoop is crazy, if you consume 2 bags you're eating over half a kilo of filler (600g+) which is wild. I will gladly pay the slight premium for ON over the sawdust mystery powder. Also it's only 67% protein by weight which is what the worst protein powders have. There's a reason this is cheap.
Cheap price, cheap quality. You're eating 5g of filler with each scoop compared to ON. No good. I buy the ON bags for $69 on sale which in total cost is only 25% more than this stuff, and when you break it down into price/protein content its only 10% more. My longterm health is worth this small price.
I get my bags on sale at $69. Which is a little more expensive (only 25% more per weight for known quality, less filler, no bloat, good mixability, known contaminants like lead being low and significantly higher actual protein content is worth it. This is bottom-barrel stuff its like 67% protein by weight)... If you consume 2 bags of this thats over half a kilogram of mystery filler powder i'd rather not ingest. I broke it down by price per actual protein content and it end up being only 10% more than ON when its on sale ($36.45/kg for ON versus $32.87 for whatever this mystery powder is). So yeah, I will gladly pay a meaningless amount more for actual quality product that I have to consume... Not sure where you got 2x more from but the actual price difference for protein content is 10% if you actually use math, these bags are also smaller so you have to factor that in.
I buy them once or twice a year when they go on sale for $69.99 (but i'd pay the $89 if I had to choose between this and bottom-tier protein.... which even at regualr price would be 59% more per kg not double lol). Yes, 75% is a really good figure. 67% is bottom barrel, but if you like consuming 600g+ of filler per 2 bags and getting a low quality protein with unknown lead levels for only 10% difference in cost per protein content then you do you... I'm not going to risk my health over a couple bucks to drink filler mystery powder.
I used to get this stuff but I now just spend $5 more and get the Revolution Nutrition High Whey protein on Amazon. Has some of the most delicious flavours I've ever had in a protein shake.
>But it’s inferior protein. Lol on paper maybe, but it gets the job done and tastes much better so I'm happy.
Like I said - on paper. It tastes much better and yields the same results for me, so I couldn't care less. I'll pay the $5 extra for deliciousness.
>How would you know that the results would be the same? Been around a while and I have tried both. >If you’re cool with concentrate which I am, there are far more economical options. Sure, but this has by far the best tasting protein I have ever had. >But probably not one I’d be endorsing. I wasn't asking you to endorse it - I was merely explaining why I think it's worth the extra $5 compared to Gold Standard. Basically it tastes better and it works the same.
Hard to beat the LeanFit for value especially when it's on sale at Costco. I too simply take my shakes with just powder and water. I'm currently using Revolution High Whey. They're also Canadian and the taste is unbelievably good. I've got the Chocolate Banana Cream Pie flavor and it tastes like an actual banana split. BUT, it's almost 100 bucks for 6lbs on Amazon. If cost is top priority then LeanFit for the win. If taste is, then try Revolution. Walmart sells it for a decent price to try out but only has the basic vanilla and chocolate flavors, still really good though.
Night and day difference in taste. I'm currently using the chocolate banana cream pie flavor and it's the best thing I've ever tasted for a protein powder. I add a table spoon of chocolate powder and blend it over ice and it's a real tasty treat.
Revolution-nutrition.com is what I use. Love the flavors, cheap per oz, new formula is 130 calories for 25g of protein. Mixes in everything really well. I use in coffee or almond milk to drink, or mix it with greek yogurt and sugar free pudding mix to make a frosting like treat.
I like fairlife core power, revolution high whey vanilla cake and chocolate cake, and cookies n cream premier protein. Basically the only three I'll drink.
I am really picky with the protein powder taste and I really like Revolution Nutrition's chocolate cake and vanilla cake flavours. I've used both the High Whey and Iso Whey formulas, I mix them with water and ice in a shaker bottle and I've never had any grittiness. The churros flavour was also decent (cinnamony) and the strawberry shortcake was also good but I get sick of it faster. Ships from Montreal.
I mix it with water and ice in a shaker bottle and shake the crap out of it, and I find it creamy but not too creamy. I actually add more water than the instructions ask for and end up with a consistency like chocolate milk. That's actually a plus for me, I hate thick shakes.
