So for me, I've been doing a combination of cheap whey protein, and pea protein. Plus I have increased the % of meat and things like lentils and split peas, and cruciferous vegetables. People say that pea protein is an "incomplete protein", but what it's lacking can easily be gotten from your diet, so I see it as an inexpensive way to add more protein to your diet. I'm not a big time lifter or anything. I used to be more serious when I was in school, but never went nuts with it. At the end if last year I was over 350 lbs because of being bedridden for a long time because of a messed up back. A little after the beginning of this year I was able to start moving around again, and began working on increasing my strength and mobility, and eating better since I no longer had to rely on delivery for every meal. So since the beginning of the year I went from over 350 lbs, to just under 300 lbs, and I'm much stronger than I have been in years. I lost the weight without starving myself, just steady work, better food, and making sure I had enough protein to actually benefit from my workouts. But ya, I would say thats pretty good progress for right around 3 months. I use cheap whey protein, and pea protein, not at the same time lol. I commonly use the pea protein when I cook. Like if I need to thicken a sauce or soup, or if I want to make a sandwich I'll bake a loaf of bread with a mix of flour and pea protein. I'm currently developing a pizza crust that helps cut calories and load up on protein. The cheap whey protein I use is Six Star brand. You can get it at Walmart or on Amazon for $20 for 18 servings of 30g protein. Amazon sometimes has sales that drop the price down by like 3-5 bucks. The triple chocolate is the best flavored I've tried, the vanilla icecream is crap, but if you mix the vanilla with the fruitloops and a tablespoon of fat free milk powder (or just use milk instead of water) it tastes pretty good. The fruitloops one is too sweet on it's own for daily use, but works good to flavor a desert, like a Greek yogurt based icecream. The pea protein I use is a massive bottle that has 96 servings at 24g protein and 120cal per serving. It cost me $62. You can sometimes find cheaper, but when I bought it I couldn't find a better price on a good quality product. I also take some electrolytes, creatine monohydrate, and glutamine. I spent about $30 for 200 servings of glutamine, and the creatine was the same price. I think the electrolytes we around $30 combined for 300 servings of both potassium chloride and magnesium malate. Not saying this is the best combination of stuff or anything like that, just that this is what I have been using, and it has worked well for me
Try the ninja star fruit loops. It tastes just like the cereal and is goddamn delicious lol.
Same. I use ninja star, fruit loops flavor.
Yeah that's what I use. Fruit loops flavor is delicious
Whey, whey or whey. I like ninja star fruit loops flavor. Quite like the taste
**Six Star Whey Protein** Triple Chocolate from Walmart is the most protein for the buck I've found so far. The ALDI powder is about the same price. Chocolate is the best.
If you want protein to the max then make frozen yoghurt: Plain 0% fat Greek yogurt plus Sweetener of your choice plus Protein powder flavor of your choice. I do 16 oz of the yogurt plus zero calorie sweetener (equivalent to 2 tsp) and protein powder that equates to 40g of protein. That will yield about 85g of protein for about 470 calories. Isopure and optimum nutrition (ON) are 2 powders that have a good protein to calorie ratio and are known for being on the cleaner side for minimal ingredients. I personally like to do strawberry with either the ON or Isopure brands. I also love the six star fruit loops for an amazing fro yo but the six star powders have a lot more calories per gram of protein and aren’t as clean as the others I’ve mentioned. I would not over think it. Pick a flavor that sounds nice to your brain and go for it. No one else can tell you what you like.
I’m using 6star Protien powder from Walmart the price is less
This is what I use. That and aldis has some.
