Looking at nutritional information on all 3 vegan protein 360 (black, gold, platinum), they all have similar calories, (90, 107, 120), protein (20, 25, 28) (80%, 83%, 80%), carbs (1.3, 1.6, 1.7), fat breakdown (.6, .4, .8) when you take into account that the serving size gets bigger with high-end products (25, 30, 35g). The high-end products have vitamin and minerals. I don't know if the protein source is better, but to me it looks like you are paying more for a larger serving scoop and 1/10 to 1/5 of a multivitamin.
in terms of protein bars: yubi bars are so good (10g protein, 100 cals). they used to also do a flapjack but i think those are discontinued now (i still have a stock pile lol) ridiculous bars from protein works have very good macros (18g protein, 180 cals) caramel is my favourite, but i had to try them a couple times before i liked it huel bars are good but expensive (flavours vary but around 15g protein, 200cal) vive bars are genuinely delicious. they aren’t super high protein but the ingredients are better and they taste like a regular chocolate bar avoid the trek low sugar ones. the flapjacks are great (if quite as high protein), and their old recipe power bars were so good too, but the new low sugar ones just taste like straight sweetener for other high protein recommendations: - black bean/edamame noodles (lidl and holland and barret both do them, sometimes aldi too?) - tempeh - vegan mince / tvp - squeaky bean chicken pieces and tuna - plain soy yogurt (my favourite is tesco or asda own brand) - this isn’t chicken pieces - nutritional yeast - silken tofu (great for blending into creamy sauces, as are beans) - i don’t like protein shakes with just protein powder and some sort of liquid but if you’ve already got the powder to use up, you can try mixing it into a smoothie with fruits and nut butter to mask the flavour more. i also love protein powder in porridge/overnight oats made with soy milk (i’ve used both protein works and my protein and liked them both, i usually stick to vanilla, speculoos, or salted caramel as a safe bet flavour wise. the only bad one i’ve tried was was chocolate from my protein i think)
If you hate texture dont get protein works. They're bitty and almost...chewy unless you blend it. If you use a shaker you won't have a smooth drink. Im sure they say they're the smoothest one out there too... Most vegan protein shakes are slightly bitty I've found. I just buy alpro chocolate (or other flavours) protein drinks. 50G protein per litre
Depends where you are I guess, but not had any problems with this in years now. Form does great powders and bars that happen to be vegan. Plenty of non vegans use them because they're good quality and taste good. Huel is all vegan, and the black edition has 35g protein. Plenty of decent flavours. ProteinWorks has vegan shakes that are decent, especially if you mix with oat milk.
I usually buy from Protein Works. Find the taste/texture superior to MyProtein, but they're all pretty similar. Bulk are good too.
Literally drinking the Bueno one right now haha. Totally endorse this message. Haven't had MyProtein in so long I can't remember why I switched away now tbh
My choice is the protein works one, even their chocolate one tasted good which is a rarity with vegan protein powders.
