Chocolate truvani, frozen blueberries, 75% water - 25% unsweetened almond milk.Ā Or naked pea with a scoop of cacoa.
Have you tried Truvani vanilla? I use it to make cashew butter cookie dough balls and I think it brings a good slightly sweet vanilla flavor to the mix.
For plant based powders: my absolute favorite is Orgain Simple, second place would be Ora Organic. I like the chocolate and vanilla flavors from both brands. Truvani was ok but I really only liked the banana cinnamon, the rest of the sample flavors I tried didnāt taste good enough to purchase again. In my experience so far, plant based powders can be super gritty unless blended so I always make my shakes in a blender with a few frozen banana slices.
I second this with Truvani. I know youāre asking about vanilla specifically but I once made a protein shake with their banana cinnamon flavor that tasted like I was drinking banana bread so I highly recommend it.
I have a very sensitive tummy and acid reflux - the only protein powder my body tolerates is Truvani. They're vegan with super clean ingredient list. It's a little more £££ than others but I stretch out by only using half a scoop at a time and then adding 2 tbsp of collagen peptide (works out well because I find a full scoop is too much sugar) to get to full 20g protein. My fave is vanilla chai.
I have acid reflux and most protein powders seem to give me awful heartburns :/ the only one I can tolerate is Truvani vegan ones which also taste amazing! My fave is chai vanilla one!
My hyperfixation smoothie is so good I sometimes have it for dinner if I don't feel like eating. I use: 1/2 frozen banana 50g frozen blueberries 130g unsweetened almond milk Splash of water 5g chia seeds 1/2 std serving of collagen peptide powder 1/2 std serving of Truvani chai & vanilla protein powder* (* it's the only protein powder I like because I've got acid reflux and all others I've tried give me the worst heartburn. Added bonus is that this chai flavour literally tastes like chai latte mix and the ingredient list is super clean too. 290 calories & 24g protein in total.)
I haven't found it in ireland but on a recent US visit I found truvani and kachava as plant based protein brands with great flavours and good protein to calorie ratio. I also break out with whey so have been hunting for options. Next time I go there, or have friends going i'll shop for a lot more as both these brands tasted good and i actually enjoy my morning protein shake.
the truvani vegan pea protein powder is pretty good, and it has a lot of flavors
Truvani! Editing to add: they have a TON of flavors, minimal additives, donāt make me feel like garbage as someone w a sensitive stomach.
