Mm I use only plant based clean ones like truvani or orgain simple. PB2 powder is also good and high protein
I've been a fan of True Nutrition. I buy 5lbs of an unflavored custom blend and buy the powdered flavors (also TN) separately. This way I can switch up flavors daily without buying a bunch of protein powders that take up too much space in my small kitchen. Also I can use small amounts of the unflavored powder when I cook (added to sauces, soups, TVP, tofu, and the like) on days that I'm not hitting my protein goal otherwise. The vegan Ghost flavors are 10/10 with great macros, but I can't justify the price. Same with Truvani (the matcha is heavenly). Sometimes I buy the OWYN bottled shakes as a treat.
Can anyone tell me what the knock is on Truvani?
I mean why is it relatively poorly reviewed compared to the others? I hate Orgain, and Truvani is my current favorite. But is there a criticism about it that would be good for a consumer to know?
I’m a fan of Truvani
If you are a vegetarian, get the vegan stuff. If not get the whey. Try to avoid fillers and unpronounceable ingredients. Generally the fewer ingredients the better. I’m plant based, and personally like Truvani protein powder.
Ah i probably should’ve added that i have a nut allergy and can’t have soy milk - i do make shakes with oat or coconut milk and do just fine there. Orgain is what I’ve been eyeing. Truvani just tastes like dirt to me which is a shame since it’s so clean. This stuff is just so much to sift through. BCAAs, CMAs, AAs lol
Yes Truvani has the best texture
I hate most protein powder, but I really like truvani. Its not gritty at all, few ingredients, and it actually tastes good. Its expensive though. I like the sample packs, they are reasonable, and it goes on sale at my local store I stock up on my favorite flavors. Its amazing for protien ice cream 🍦
In general I don't like meat and I'm mostly vegetarian. These are my go tos Protein shake (truvani, fruit, milk, nut butter, chia seeds) Oikos Greek yogurt from Costco (15g protein) with Trader Joe's protein peanut butter granola and strawberries Cottage cheese bowl with tomato, avocado, cucumber, hot honey (must be good culture whole milk don't ask why bc idk) Purely Elizabeth blueberry walnut Oatmeal cup with cashew butter and blueberries Soyrizo burrito bowl with rice beans guacamole sour cream
