For best results I use an immersion blender (or a regular blender) It makes it creamy and smooth. I use Vega, another Canadian vegan powder 🇨🇦

I put in the milk then the powder and really let it mix up. With the vanilla I will often put in a cup of frozen fruit also

r/workoutBest quality protein powder for building muscle?

If you're lifting consistently, at least 3-4 times per week, protein is huge for recovery and muscle building, but creatine is also worth looking into. It’s one of the few well-studied supplements that actually works. I found my current go-to through this [database of protein supplements](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1miBRX60wdYAvMJO7sChEMXGnpIQHNqn6tnscHkXM7Qs/edit?usp=sharing) that another Redditor put together. It’s Vega Protein + Creatine in the chocolate flavor. Tastes solid and covers both bases in one scoop. I think it's around $45 per tub, but it has fewer servings than most of the big brands.

I use Vega. The one that gives you 30 grams of protein specifically. It’s the best 30 gram scoop I have tried and it’s usually pretty easy to catch a sale and stock up until the next sale comes along.

Vanilla flavoured Vega (or other mild flavoured powder) with ginger powder and Ceylon cinnamon powder added. Blend with milk of choice and a banana and some berries. It’s surprisingly delicious.

Have you had Vega? Do any of these taste similar? I hate Vega, lol, so I’m trying to avoid comparable ones.

It takes a bit to get used to using any of these powders. I prefer vega protein and greens all plant protein. Still took a few days

I wouldn’t say Vega is bad, but they definitely have the chalky texture I’m assuming OP is talking about

I don’t do whey protein so I love everything that Vega makes. Their flavors and texture are really good.

Holy moly I knew something was fishy with vega, a while back I ended up throwing out my 40 dollar new tub of it because I couldn't stand the taste :( I just recommended Sprout Living Epic Protein Plant Based Protein Vanilla Lucuma in this thread, but now I'm worried about plant base proteins in general :(

Sprout Living Epic Protein Plant Based Protein Vanilla Lucuma!! Very clean and tastes really good even though it's vegan :D I make protein waffles with it (eggs, yogurt, protein powder, baking powder, flour, milk/water, cinnamon, a pinch of salt) It's delicious and versatile! I make a bunch at once and freeze them for meal prep. Great for morning sandwiches or on its own :3
