Boston 12/13 or Evo SL. I haven’t tried the Evo SL, but based on what I’ve read and your wants I think it fits the bill. The Boston 12 is on sale now, the upper is God awful, but it’s an awesome shoe. I think the 13 is a little softer.
Boston 13s are always on sale somewhere. ASOS have some listed at £98 so I’m just waiting for them to drop a 25 or 30% promo code
Check out my review where I compare the Boston 13 and Evo SL: [Here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/RunningShoeGeeks/comments/1lt3vo5/thoughts_on_the_boston_13_as_a_long_run_shoe_for/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I rotate between 6-8 pairs, so I suggest getting at least two pairs. As far as what to suggest; running shoes are extremely personal. Everyone is different. I’ve been loving Adidas Adizero EVO SLs, ASICs Superblast 2s, Hoka Skyward X for those middle distance easy runs, Adidas Boston 13s for threshold work, Saucony Endorphin Speeds for threshold, and I also have a stable of race shoes (Nike Vaporflys, Alphaflys) for intervals and racing.
I’d go Nimbus 27 + Boston 13. That’s what I’ve been using lately and really like both but im not quite as fast as you are. You can get both on sale now.
I don’t have any stability needs but I find the heel of the Boston 13 to be pretty unstable. If I was a heel striker it’d definitely be tough to wrangle.
I run through a metric ton of shoes and I think people make too big of a deal out of which shoes to choose. Have a few trusted models that you know fit you well and just hunt for whatever is on sale. Personally Boston 13 and EVO SL are my go to for everything, and Boston 12 and saucony kinvara are the only shoes I’d say absolutely fucking sucked. But otherwise I’ll run in whatever.
I second this. Max stack trainer in a light weight and roomy shoe that you can pick up the pace in. I would also consider the Boston 13 but going 1/2 size up to check off your “roomy” fit. Or if you can find any, the ON Cloud eclipse is a good option as well
B13 upper is miles better than the 12.
Evo SL if you prefer a softer ride, Boston13 if you prefer a firmer ride.
i have the boston 13s love the shoe and done some runs on icy nights and snow recently just like running normal grip is amazing
got the 13s mate love them!!
mostly now use them for my long runs they are firm and was a little worried wouldnt work well on long runs but done a 16 mile today and are great previously done 13 miles and 14 miles in them - normally use them either for tempo runs as they are good to pick up pace i feel but also as a stable workhorse shoe for long runs for me i love them couldnt say enough good things about them i rotate between them and clifton 9 depeneding how im feeling recovery/slow run vs nice steady quicker pace
Check out the puma deviate nitro elite 3 very stable and such an amazing under rated shoe It's my race day shoes And I love the boston 13s but yeah I hate the evos
