I also have the Evo SL ATR. The Evo feels like the wilder faster brother. The H1 is the more stable, more friendly and more comfortable one.
If you already like the EVO SL, then the new EVO SL ATR might be suitable. I love mine in the rain and on slippery mushed leaves. Not sure how they'd be on snow though.
I know what you mean. The ATRs are a bit more stable.
Mount to Coast H1 or Adidas Evo SL ATR. At the moment I think I prefer the MTC, but the Adidas are black and somewhat water resistant so better in the rain!
This is my two shoes, evo sl atr and aero glide 3. Evo sl is for faster runs. AG3 for longer, easy runs because its more stable. Both fantastic.
What type of runs do you use it for? Technical drills? I really want to like them but I find the low stack hard on the legs, so maybe I'm missing something? I also run in the PX3S, AP4, TS11, B13 and Evo SL (+ATR), and all of these (except the B13) shine in their own area. Where I live (in Europe), the shoe is fairly cheap and easy to get, but even so, I've never seen another runner with them. Maybe because they are inaccessible in certain areas, they are more coveted?
I got it from here : https://slamjam.com/products/adidas-footwear-adizero-evo-sl-atr-m-black-j346743. It cost me pretty penny but got it on Dec 3 in US (shipped from Italy).
Literally just got back from 30k @ 4:45/km and I wore the EVO SL ATR’s as there were light trail sections. I chose to wear this shoe over a more traditional road-to-trail shoe as I wanted to have some fun, and if you want to have fun, the EVO SL will definitely do that. It’s hard not to recommend but as per my first comment, there are better shoes if money is factored out. But for £100-110 (if you look around / use a code) it’s hard to find a better more fun shoe than the EVO SL. Every collection should try to have a pair in them, if affordable.
I have 150km on mine on various winter conditions. I was initially skeptical to the performance on snow, but I have found they handle all conditions very well except ice and deep, loose snow (which any non-spiked shoes struggle with tbh). Pleasantly surprised.
