SUPERBLAST 2
Marathon workhorse, but loud and clunky at slow paces.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I just retired my first Evo SL pair at 700km, bought another classic Evo SL, New Evo SL woven and new Evo SL ATR. Used them for my NYC marathon prep last year. First marathon, 3:42:20, in NB SC Elite v5. I also have Superblast 2 and I hate them 😂 All runners are different I guess
try the evo sl woven. It has a better fit than the regular ones and feels more like a daily trainer.
Either you do or don't yet have the stabilizer muscles for the Evo SL. The newer versions, Evo SL Woven and now Exo, are supposedly slightly more stable. If not Evo SL, the firmer Boston series, 13 or especially the older 12, are plenty quick and capable. Boston 12 is up there with older Endorphin Speeds as shoes I get the best results from. But your mileage may vary.

Fair warning that the Woven is quite a bit narrower, and it has this annoying stiff toe bumper. Didn’t work for me with E width, my toes got impaled on the bumper.
Funny how different people are on this. It’s the first shoe that’s made me smile from the get go since the Endorphin Speed 2. But the fit is totally trash - it destroyed my toes so I had to half size up, but then the half size up the baggy upper folds down with every step and pokes the top of my foot leading to blood blisters.
I even bought the woven to try and avoid this but it’s much narrower in the toe box and has a stiff toe bumper that destroyed me. How can adios pro 4 be fine for my toes but an Evo SL is too narrow / racey of a fit in the same size. So frustrating!
More like a souped up VW than Porsche lol. None of the luxury comfort features but a ton of horsepower.
I only started running in april, so I have a pretty small selection at the moment. Started with a NB 1080 v14, then added the EVO SL for tempo stuff initially. After using the EVO's for so long, I started not liking the 1080's. Love them for walking, standing, ect, but now they just feel so soft to me and seem to make my legs feel more tired. So the EVO SL Woven have pretty much become my daily now. Have used the all the way up to a a solo half I ran about a month ago and they were great, but my feet were starting to feel it for the last two miles of the half. Probably because it was an increase in mileage for me tho. Did a 9.18 miles, 1:21:00 run last night in them as well and they were fantastic as always. Considering adding either the Megablast, or Superblast 3 into my rotation. For reference, 36m, Running about 4-5 hours a week, 27-32 miles on average over the past 5/6 weeks.
Nah don’t listen lol. There’s a reason why the Evo SL is so popular these days. I use them for easy runs, long runs and threshold work - they feel amazing to me. Just make sure you minimally get the Wovens because the original Evo SL has a thin upper that tends to destroy some people’s toes. The Woven, EXO or ATR variants are much better upgrades with improved uppers.
