Hey there congrats for the step up from 10k to HM. I just crossed that river an year ago I’ll share my experience of the ones I own! I am 34M 72kg midfoot striker Supernova rise 2 ; are super stable shoes for recovery to slow runs, they like to go slower than your slow runs. They can get into marathon pace but fail as soon as u pick up even a tad bit. Many a times I end up doing easy 21k in them (without intentions to do one), although in the end 3-4K, I always end up wishing if it had just a bit more cushioning, for which I have bought SNR3, & like u , I went a size up than my usual running shoe size in adidas and I am trying to deal with heel slip with runner knot and thick socks. Haven’t run in them yet, keeping them to use later in the year. But SNR3 can be great option for ur HM training No idea with B13, but I have B12: I find them great for uptempo efforts and sometimes intervals. Did my 10k pb in them. I would prefer to race in them instead of training (daily) in them. Quite firm compared to Rise 2, but I like to diversify to stimulate between different foams and drops Superblast 2: stable but has only one gear: Marathon pace, I took them for HM distance today and they felt great until I wanted to end fast and they just don’t like anything beyond threshold paces, it was exhausting to run at max speed with them . Also they are firm , I have heard SB3 is softer but don’t plan on buying them until they go on discount. I wouldn’t suggest Superblast 2 as only one shoe rotation trainer! Novablast: it is a bit (just a bit) unstable of them all , but nowhere as unstable as EVO SL, i love them for all distances and all paces except intervals, for which I use B12/nike peg plus. ________ I would suggest a 2 shoe rotation (trust me u need rotations to have a better experience and more life out of ur shoes) SNR2 (recovery and easy) + B13 (intervals and uptempo). Or Novablast (everything except interval)+ B13 /Adios 9 (intervals) Like it or not, NB5 is a great one shoe rotation trainer to start building up endurance.

IMO supernova is not as versatile as pegs for threshold paces, no doubt it’s the king of easy runs but I have to put efforts to speed them up unlike pegs

Adidas Supernova Rise 3. Yung v1 and 2 medyo low stack, yung v3 mas protective. Easy run shoe ko yan ngayon, alternating with Nike Vomero 18. Most of the other running shoes you listed arent good shoes.

Supernova Rise 3 would be the slow marathoner shoe within Adidas line up with a nice Peba blend foam. Note the outgoing Rise 2 is a lot lower stack, wouldn't use for the FM.

Not sure how I'd go at 88kg. But Supernova Rise has serious levels of ground feel for a daily cushioned trainer.

You need two pairs. Supernova Rise is the daily. B13 or ESL for the faster day depending on your preferred flavour.

I picked mine up yesterday and went for a short walk to break them in. They feel fine- nothing special, but I can tell they'll be pretty durable. The toe box was surprisingly wide. My last trainers were Topos, so that was a nice surprise.

How far along is he in his running journey? Anong mga shoes nasa rotation niya? Weight? Does he have pronation issues? Budget? Safe choices are the Supernova Rise 3 and Nimbus 28 but we need more info 😅

If that's the case then i would suggest a versatile daily trainer that can do some speed. I won't recommend any models with plates/rods to be safe. I'd also stick to models known to have accomodating fits due to your partner's wide feet. Adidas: Supernova Rise 3 or Evo SL (OG version, not the new Woven, for a roomier fit). Asics: Novablast 5 or Superblast 2. Parating na yung SB3, updated with a better midsole, but knowing Asics, pahirapan makahanap nyan at lampas 12k.

Dahil cute yung pic, i'll provide suggestions. Of those you mentioned, Ill go for either the xtep 2k 5.0 or the supernova rise (if you can get it cheap). Both are all around shoes. Xtep if firmer midsoles are okay with you. It's also better for long runs. Rise if you prefer a bit of ground feel for better toe off (due to the lower forefoot stack) and want a bit more padding and comfort sa upper.

Second this - Adidas generally gives good forefoot room with a slimmer heel and midfoot. Have has three of the new-gen Boston (10-11-13), and find the 13 fits more average in the forefoot, and is a bit longer. EVO SL fits TTS, but is also a very unstructured shoe - upper is not very supportive (woven is apparently better), and midsole is both tall and unstable. If you have any motion control issues or are a heel striker, it may not be a good shoe. But yes, narrower heel and wider forefoot. If you were looking for a daily trainer with a bit of squish and the Adidas fit, Supernova Rise 3 looks like a pretty good shoe without some of the specific challenges the Boston or EVO SL have.

I'm currently 180 and NOT running with a vest, and am still on the heavier end of most runners, at least as shoes go. In my last shoe shopping experiences, I have discovered that there is a real sweet spot in the market with shoes that are both shock absorbent, yet also responsive. For heavier runners, having the responsiveness balance out the softness ensures not too much heel sink, and more of a trampoline effect versus pillow. Some shoes I tried or bought that fit this profile with a brief description are: \- Adidas EVO SL - Very springy, absorbs shock through rebound more than softness. Loose upper, flatter insole and midsole. \- Salomon Aero Glide 3 - Nicely balanced between soft and springy, supportive all around. GRVL model is versatile. \- Nike Vomero Plus - Feels quite plush, decent spring, good balance. Arch support fairly prominent. \- Under Armour Infinite Elite 2 - Like wearing a sofa, gives up some response for incredible shock absorbency. Forefoot cushioning is superb. \- Saucony Triumph 23 - Another balanced shoe with a little more toebox room. Supportive without being overly so. \- Adidas Supernova Rise 3 - Less responsive, very roomy, nice squish without being too soft, a bit flatter support-wise. Of the six above, the two Adidas and the Saucony fit to a normal or slightly spacious width. the Salomon, UA, and Nike all fit a bit more narrow. You may also want to consider drop. If you are a midfoot or forefoot striker, the EVO SL has the lowest drop of the above shoes at 6mm. If you are a heel striker, the Vomero Plus has the highest drop at 10mm. I was unable to try any of the "Blast" series from Asics which many runners love for its combo of shock absorbent and response. Personally think they all look pretty garish.

I bought the adidas supernova rise 3 a few weeks ago and I really like them! And I heard in a review that they would be a good second shoe to the Evo SL

For me they are very stable and comfortable! I like that they’re soft, but not too soft so you don’t „sink in“. They are pretty similar to the nb 880 v15 but more fun in my opinion. I‘m a neutral runner and around 63kgs. Tried the evo sl as well but they were to unstable for daily runs for me.

As usual, there will be no consensus because people's mechanics differ wildly. For me they can do anything, even though I prefer some other shoes for specific sessions, like the Pro3 for the 25km+ runs and the adios 9 for track work. Coming back to the supernovas: The rise 3 seems to be the same as the Rise and I can't tell you about the Prima, as I keep waiting for it to show up discounted so I can replace the Pro 3 for the longer runs.
