85kg somewhere around 180-190 I guess. Some shoes that never get a mention on these subs are ones like Adidas Supernova Rise 2 or Prima 2. Absolutely brilliant. They are comfortable, absorb the weight without collapsing, have a low stack, and are very stable. They just disappear on your feet in a good way. I couldn't recommend them enough. As far as I can see the new Rise 4 are more aligned with the high stack trend and I won't be getting them. At the opposite end of the shoe design - Li-ning Red Hare 9 Ultra. They are bouncy, but not in a random way. They feel propulsive, like the bounce is pushing you forwards, really fun to run in. Strangely my HR always seems to have been lower when I run in them. Absolutely worth it over some of the western brands that are just evolving through marketing and price gouging rather than real innovation.
The Adidas Supernova Rise 1 and 2 are both nicely flexible and not high stacked, great ground feel but offer nice pop. Same with the Puma Velocity Nitro 4. Adidas Adios 9 I another option but I am not used to the low stack and feel my knees after a while. But I keep incorporating them into my speedier / interval days.
Nadownvote ako. Di kasi ako nagbabasa. Ahaha! Yung Supernova Rise 1/2 pala dapat na maganda yung colorway. Maganda yung blue or yung peach. Kakarelease lang rin ng bagong Rise 3. Magandang shoes ang Gel Kayano pero depende sa colorway. Blue and yellow gold ang meron ako. Binili ko para sana sa race day (full marathon), kaso pang-recovery pace lang siya (swak sa Z2 run). Sayang, nakatulong siya sa pronation ko at ansarap ng midfoam sa paa.
Despite all of the various sites like Rtings and RunRepeat seemingly measuring every metric and millimetre on every running shoe on sale, they’re absolutely worthless if you have a higher than usual instep as nobody seems to be able to measure it. It’s basically just pure luck what shoes fit in that case. Shoes that by the measurements should be perfect for wide footers like Adidas Supernova Rises and Mizuno Neo Zens wrap the dorsum so tight that they’re unwearable. “Narrower” shoes like Evo SLs and Puma Voyage Nitro 4s fit like a dream as they actually have enough upper space. Basically if you have a higher than instep, be prepared for a lot of trial and error, and a lot of orders and returns the same day.
Fair question. There is not really an average, we focus on use cases. Fast = Adizero, Comfort Energized = Hyperboost, Supernova = Supportive comfort. So for more of a supportive yet comfortable ride Supernova Rise is your go to, while if you want more of an energetic bouncy ride at max stack, you go for the Hyperboost. Depending on personal preference and/or progression of your running we have you covered
*Question from:* u/Flat_Olive8498 *How will the hyperboost running lineup evolve and how will hyperboost, lightstrike pro and dreamstrike + coexist? Will hyperboost replace dreamstrike?* Love this question. Adizero is built for speed, to break pbs , be fast and feel fast- to equip you for raceday or get ready for it, featured by Lightstrike Pro foam and energy rods. Hyperboost is built for max cushioning, high energy return resulting in a (non-plated) lightweight supertrainer- featured by Hyperboost Pro foam. Supernova is your daily trainer, with more supportive comfort , featured by Dreamstrike +. All can coexist in a shoe rotation or be used individually for their distinct purpose. I personally use Adizero Adios Pro for race day, Adizero Evo SL for fast training runs , and Supernova for easy runs, Hyperboost Pro ( I run a testing pair) became a staple for me in my rotation for various use cases, from short to long runs- the great thing it has that “hidden” gas pedal insight that you can always hit. If you need only one shoe Hyperboost Edge is a great choice.
My casual shoe is the Adidas Supernova Rise. It's so comfy. It's also a decent running shoe.
The two shoes I use for this are the Adidas Supernova Rise, and the New Balance 1080. My wife loves her Ghost Max 2s for this also.
I found the pain from Adidas Supernova Rise unbearable. But found Neo Zen, and Evo SL to be wonderful for tempo or long distance. Adidas Adizero SL 2 also works for mid-range distance.
All good points! Im not sure if Ive maxed out the pace. On 400 I repeats my pace often dips below 6 min/mile. Would I be better off with a “faster” shoe? If so how much of a difference would it make? Is the EVO really that much faster? I really dont know. durabbility is a bit of a concern as well since my rebels are starting to feel mushy and my adidas supernova rises still look and feel brand new, but that could also be because Ive read too many reddit complaints about rebel durability and my mind is playing tricks on me. But other than that, youre right, no reason to fix it if it isnt broken.
Makes sense, thank you! I love the Supernova Rise. Super cheap on sale, comfortable, durable, flexible, and stable for easy running!
