I love the Paradigm, Lone Peak for trail and Vanish Carbon for races.

I have a pair of Altra Vanish Carbon shoes that aren't fast, but are very comfortable. I particularly like the significant amount of forefoot cushioning so I've started doing all of my fast running in them. I think they've already lost their pop after not many miles, but they still feel great to run in. They also seem to be always on sale so I've been buying them for the price of a regular shoe.

I got 271 miles out of the Altra Vanish Carbons. I don't have wide feet and currently using Adidas Adios Pro. Check out the Altra tho. They have a newer version out.

84 kg (I think that is 185 lbs) and 5:13/km for the half-marathon in a carbon plated good shoe (Altra Vanish Carbon 1, which has a half-plate) @ October 2024. I now have an Adios Pro 4 and I can more easily hit sub-5 paces now early in the season. True that I haven't gone more than 16km at that pace, but roughly 15 seconds faster is more than I can explain with my downtime gym workouts. Make sure you chose a shoe that can take that much load, though. For a size 43 EU/9 UK/9.5 US I think I am getting to the limit the Pro4 can bounce from for a full marathon. If you have bigger shoes, it can definitely take more.

Oh dear.... Let's see what I can name from memory... 1. Track spikes 2. Carbon racers 3. Altra Vanish for speed days 4. Mizuno Vista for fast long runs 5. Asics Nimbus for cushioned easy runs (won these in a raffle) 6. New Balance something for cushioned easy runs (bought these because they're cute) 7. Topo Terraventure - favorite trail shoe 8. Saucony Peregrine - cute trail shoe 9. Altra Olympus, and 10. New Balance Leadville - trail shoes I just don't wear much but are in too good shape for me to toss 11. Saucony Endrophin, 12. Topo Specter, 13. Adidas Adizero - these were all the Boston themed shoes, and I wanted them all. I've only worn the Saucony so far. They're all tempo shoes. 14. Brooks Ghost - fun print, given to me as a gift. 15. Brooks Revel - Christmas pattern, so I save these for Christmas runs 16. Nike Zoom Fly - tempo, won these in a raffle 17. Altra Escalante Racer - don't love these, but they're small, so they're solid for when I'm traveling and need a shoe that doesn't take up space in a suitcase. 18. Altra Escalante - These has 355 miles, so I can probably toss them. Um. I have a problem...

Altra, love the zero drop too and have 6 pair of Torin that are only suitable for walking now. The recent editions of Torin weren't comfortable, so I went with Hoka. May have to try the Olympus.

Altras are known for their 0 drop shoes, though not all are. If you go with a 0 drop and have not previously spent a lot of miles without a drop, work up to it slowly. You can get seriously injured if you do too many miles too quickly. Some people love them, it gave me knee and hip pain. Everyone's body is different!

I live my Altras. The zero drop takes a little getting used to but now I prefer it.

there is a Google drive sheet floating around with wide shoes and measurements. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/e/2PACX-1vQnRgxJU_LoYAyl4uAf2QtCZNNXDWJrewXMtTwnnPPeKYLqyqCABxO5ITtKOAeiKS5p91Dh-m83rNe3/pubhtml?pli=1) I am rocking altras. they have the widest box, but also zero drop. there are some with small drops, but not sure what exactly you need.
