I am using Pegasus 39 and Dynablast 5. Which one out of these do you recommend for a half marathon distance?

My NB5 went dead after 120 miles, overhyped shoe in my opinion. It was too soft for me. I prefer my Dynablast 5 which is much cheaper.

ASICS Dynablast 5. Between $89 and $99 everywhere. Basically a novablast 3 with a way better upper. Best deal on a budget running shoe.

A bit firmer. In my opinion the NB 3 was the best of the line. Same sole, same geometry, better tongue and upper on the Dynablast 5.

Now Asics launched the Dynablast 5. I suggest you look at that shoe, because you'll find something familiar... I have bought it and am waiting to finish the Mizuno's mileage, then I am going to use the DB5 for my easy and steady runs... The DB5 is basically a Novablast 3 with a changed upper. The price, €130, is the same of the SL2

you would wanna avoid gt series and kayano unless you pronate. Dynablast 5 and Novablast 5 should be your go to options.

Just got a pair of Dynablast 5s after 1000 miles on a previous pair of Sauconys. I'm a treadmill-only runner. I'm happy to be back to Asics because I find they hold my feet perfectly. (I often have to wear 2 pairs of socks with other brands) The first two runs definitely felt like the shoe was squishier than I'm used to (like walking on a firm gym mat rather than the floor), but it really didn't have any effect on my run. My only tiny gripe is that I wish the shoes were a touch heavier, but as long as they last it shouldn't matter much.

What's your pace ? I would easily choose the DB5 over Peg39. Just because it's more cushioned and absorbs shock better. But if you're fast and want a responsive lightweight shoe you should go with Peg39. I've done a full marathon in Peg40 and I didn't like it.

Ordered Dyanablast 5 from FK. Got amazing discounts. Thanks. However, they are taking forever to deliver! πŸ™ƒ

Got them finally and ran my 1st 5k with them today. I must say that jerk absorption is quite good. It felt as if I was running on soft ground. Thanks for the reco.

Hey, first of all nice collection op. I had a shoulder injury so away from gym since last 3-4 months and pretty much inactive. Thinking to start running 2-3 times a week for starters. I have asics dynablast and adidas switch shoes and dynablast feel so good btw. Planning to run on treadmill or park accordingly to how much time I get from my job. (Earlier i used to run on my treadmill and my knees started paining after which I stopped running in gym and would do inclined walks instead) - i am a heel striker i think but watched some vids and willing to run. So, Should i use any one for my daily runs or switch b/w them. And can you suggest any other shoes maybe if you would (178cm, 76kg). And i am thinking to run 5km marsthon which is 1.5 month ahead of me, is it achievable. Or how to scale up. Sorry for asking so many questions.
