Yeah the Cumulus 25 are wonderful shoes, I love them - wish they would just keep making them tbh, these shoe companies changing the design of each line every year gets old fast. the Cumulus 25 are great, and the wide version is basically my ideal every day running shoe for up to two hour runs

6'2" 240lbs previously and I used the Asics Cumulus 25 for every type of running from sprints to 8 mile runs and they held up great for 348 miles as I trimmed down to 180 lbs over a six month period. Unfortunately the Cumulus 25s are hard to find now as they were replaced by the Cumulus 26s, which are not made for heavy people. I have switched over to Asics Novablast 4s and the New Balance FuelCell Rebel V4 now that I'm down in weight.

Seconding the Cumulus 25. It really got me into road running, I kept having shoe problems before.

What do you think of the Kayanos? I LOVED the Gel Cumulus 25’s and had 4 pairs of them. Wore them all out. My 27’s just aren’t the same and thinking of trying the Kayanos. I also have the Superblast 2’s for faster runs.

You like the Kayano?? I'm an ASICS die hard, and I LOVED the Gel-Cumulus 25's. I HATE the Gel-cumulus 27 thought. My right foot overpronates a bit, and the Novablast MURDERED my ankle and made my peroneal tendon hurt. I like the Superblast 2, and was a great fast shoe for me. I'm eying up the Kayano 32 as a replacement for my last set of Gel-Cumulus 25's...I had 4 pairs, and they are all about clapped, and I am so so so sad. What's your review of the Kayano? Have you ran in the Cumulus'?

2000km out of any pair of shoes is insane. You must weigh nothing! I had a pair of cumulus 25 and they were dead at 380km for me. But I am 95kg. Adidas Boston lasts a long time. Hoka Mach x2 are on sale as well.

I'm also a heavy runner (260-240 lbs this past year). I just crossed 500 miles on my Aisics gel-cumulus 25 and they still feel good. I started alternating shoes the last couple of months, but they still got the majority of the miles. Never had a problem with injuries or comfort while running in them. I primarily run on a rough paved trail with some road running. I just got a couple more pairs to soon replace them. Plus, I like the colors they come in😁.

If you’ve got a shoe you like and is comfy, just stick with it. I do all my runs of all types in one shoe, I am not a pro runner, don’t need to shave off those extra seconds. They’re comfy, I’m not injured, it’s a win. I underpronate, did 1000kms in some ASIC Gel Cummulus 25’s and now about 100kms into some Novablast 5’s.
