I have run half marathons and a 25k, with my latest being done with the ASIC Gel-Excite 10. It’s about time to retire those and get a higher budget shoe. My goal with this next pair is to get me through marathon training and run my first one in the fall. A point to make is that I went to my local running store and the associate stated I am neutral with my left foot but over pronate with my right foot. **I have never owned stability shoes, but seems like I might need them.** He gave me these recommendations because of it: * ASIC GT-2000 * Brooks Adrenaline GTS * Brooks Ghost **Which would you recommend out of these? Or would you recommend a pair not listed?** I am also unsure as to which year to get. For example I see the ASIC GT-2000 14s differ from the 13s. Looking for a shoe that will prevent and protect from injuries, feels comfortable, and is durable for 400+ miles. Details: * Budget: \~$160 USD * Shoe Size: US 12.5 * Build: 6'3/185 lbs (190 cm/84 kg) * Pace: 7:35 min/mi race day, 7:45-9:00 min/mi training * Feel: Prefer soft and cushion * Feet Width: Normal * Foot Strike: Midfoot * Running Surfaces: Asphalt and fine gravel

That's a fair point. I did have a nerve pain shoot down my right side from my hip to foot around mile 14. However, I don't know if that's the shoes or cause my body isn't used to running past 13 miles hah

Asics Gel Excite 10 would be a good choice. That's what I own along with Nike Downshifter 12. Post it on r/indianrunners to get more entry-level recommendations.

I run 3-4 times a week, approx 20-25km weekly. I bought asics gel excite 10 on Black Friday sale. How long will they last me? I am a bit overweight but I’ve gotten my 5k pace from 8:40 to 7:20 in a couple months. I want to get it around 6 or lower by March 2026

Asics Gel Excite 10 and UnderArmour charged Speed swift. Asics Gel are better I would say in terms of overall performance but I like UA because of the styling.
